Filled my mp3 player to nearly full, so that not one more song would fit on it, and then i must have accidently pressed the record button. Now when i switch the MP3 player on it says "MEMORY IS FULL, REMOVE CONTENTS". how to solve that

Unfortunately, you have likely overwritten the old songs by copying new songs.

One free product worth trying is Recuva (http://www.piriform.com/download)

Download and install Recuva, plug the mp3 player into your computer, and see what can be recovered. Even if you can see some of your old songs they might be corrupted so make sure to listen to them.

First of all, there's a list of records or songs when you press the middle button when you listen to a song. When you highlight that song or record, hold down the volume section of the rectangular button and it would say "Warning, delete file?" Or, you can do it on a computer, when you connect the MP4 to the computer with some sort of cable. Hope this helps.

While the song is playing press and hold down the MENU button. That should take you to the list of songs otherwise you'll get an option for either File Navigator or Playlists. If so, make sure File Navigator is highlighted, press the OK button (centrally located on lower front). In either case, make sure the song you want to delete is highlighted then press the Record button (the one with the dot on it). Use up or down, if Delete is not already highlighted, then press the OK button.

Try reformatting the unit using your PC as a FAT formatting. Don't use "quick format" so you can completely erase any glitchy memory points.

Also, press and hold the Reset button (little hole on the bottom right of the player) to reset the software.

well putting songs on your MP3 player is easy its taking them off thats the problem, so here are some easy steps to doing so. 1. plug in your MP3 player to the computer (USB) 2. go to my documents 3. scroll down to other 4. click sansa m230 5. click TCNANDO 6. then you have an option of Albums, Music,and RECORD click on Music 7. then you have the artists names and all you have to do is click the artist, then the album, and the ones you dont want you right click it and select delete 8. repet that until done deleteing songs of your choice 9. now you can add songs

Sorry, as far as i know you can't, you nead to reset: 1. Recharge the product by connecting to the pc (pc must be running). 2. Press the reset button using a sharp tool. Wait 10 minutes then connect the player and pc. (The reset button is between the FUNC and MODE buttons.) 3. Turn the player off and press the mode button while making the player and pc connection. 4. The message ¡°USB Connected¡± displays when turning the player on. 5. Disconnect the player and pc. 6. Connect the player and pc after turning off the player. The player is charged in about 2 hours if the player is off. 7. Upgrade to the latest firmware (Ver. 1.11 or higher).
