The reason is 100AH is not advisable to connect it on APC2.2kva because of battery charging issue.

Continuous Beeping (theamber On Battery LED will be illuminated)
This alarm indicates that the UPS has reached aLow Battery condition and will soon shutdown. The UPS can only operate onbattery for a limited amount of time. In order to protect the unit's batteriesfrom discharging too much, the UPS will shutdown and turn off its output. Towarn you that the unit will soon shutdown, the UPS will sound this alarm 2minutes before actual shutdown. With optional Powerchute Plus software, 2minutes can be changed to 5, 7, or 10 minutes to give you more of a warning ofimpending shutdown. If you hear this tone, you should immediately gracefullyshutdown your operating system to prevent data loss or corruption.
Note:This graceful shutdown will occur automatically if Powerchute PLUS software isbeing used.

Constant, Solid Tone (the red Overload LEDwill be illuminated)
This alarm indicates that the UPS has detectedan Overload condition. If this alarm is sounded, try removing non-essentialequipment. The alarm will remain until the load is reduced. To determine ifyour UPS is capable of handling the equipment you want to protect, visit APC'sSizing Guide at www.apcc.com/sizing.

Continuous Beeps for One Minute; RepeatedEvery 5 Hours (Replace Battery LED will be illuminated)
This alarm indicates that the UPS has failed itsSelf-Test of the battery. The unit will continue to sound this alarm until theunit passes the test. Try to let the unit charge for a few hours and thenperform another Self-Test (Press and hold the on/off button until the second'chirp', then release). If it fails and the unit is still in-warranty (twoyears from date of purchase), then contact APC. If the unit fails and its outof warranty, then order a replacement battey cartridge through your reseller, distributor, or from APC's web site.

Apc beeping twice every 2 seconds

The battery inside the APC is "weak", and the "beep" is telling you to replace the battery inside the APC, or, maybe cheaper, to buy a new APC.

I have a APC 3000 (SUA3000rmi2U). It starts up ok, but keep beeping (long one) and just cannot stop. It hold power, just the beeping won't go. What's wrong with it? Any idea?

Hi Tyrone,

It's most likely a faulty battery connection or bad batteries. Check connections or replace batteries and unit should work okay.

My APC RS 900 UPS is making a beeping noise and the red light on the front is blinking. It seems to be working, but what is it trying to tell me?

Without knowing which light is flashing I can only guess. From my experience and assuming it is the battery light that is lit and NOT the overload light, it can be one of two things, one is your battery is near the end of its life and needs to be replaced, and the other is that your battery is improperly connected.

To confirm if your battery needs to be replaced or not, you can run a self test. Ensure that the battery has had time to fully charge (and that it is definitely correctly connected), and then turn off the UPS, and turn it back on. It will automatically run a self test.

if the light stays lit, you need to order new batteries. One source is here: http://www.refurbups.com/APC-Back-UPS-RS-900-BR900-Replacement-Batteries

If it IS the overload light that is lit, you simply have too much equipment attached to the UPS, more than the inverter can handle. Try removing some equipment until it turns off.

It's an older unit that i just tried. When i plug

Try installing the software that is included with the unit. If you didn't get the software, I believe you can download it for free from APC's website. The software will typically give you the status of the batteries and let you know if you need to replace them. If you can't get the software, take the batteries out (keep note of the wiring configuration) and test each battery using a DC voltmeter. The batteries should read around 13.5 volts DC. If they are around or below 11.5v DC, it's time for new batteries. This model, if its the black 110v version, requires the RBC32 which can be found at: http://www.batteryinternational.com/apc-rbc32--f2.html

Good luck and I hope I could help.

UPS keeps beeping and resetting. I've swapped battery and getting same results ()

You have a brand new set of batteries with a bad UPS. Sorry to tell you that. You might have waited too long to replace your battery. What I mean, if you battery can not fully charge up, the inverter will try and keep charging it until it burns out. Then you buy a battery and you are now stuck with it.

You need a new UPS, may I suggest you get a bigger one....I have a 800VA with your name in it for only $80.00 plus shipping.

That is cheaper then what you are going to find. Keep it in mind also that APC is no a realy quality product either. Great marketing but poor support. Trust me that BE 500 is disposable.
