I'm having trouble downloading pictures and videos from my lg vu cellular phone onto my computer. I've set the connection to mass storage device on my phone, and I have the usb connector cable. Other online sites have mentioned a memory card? Does any old memory card work? And where do I insert it at anyway? Also, I lost my installation cd. Is there a free download of it somewhere online?

If you bought the SD card from Verizon then you should have another card where you insert the card into the regular sized and it works that way. Good luck!!

The easiest solution is to leave it as 'mass storage', then navigate to it, my computer, mass storage, ect, Then just right click & open it. Now open your pictures, music ect. on your PC, drag & drop to the phone. That's how I do mine. You will be able to drop them into whichever folder you want. You might have to drop them into a folder on the phone then copy & paste them to the SD card after you disconnect from the PC. If you have more questions leave a comment, I'll be happy to help. It is quite a bummer, but you have to select one picture at a time, go to options, select move, choose memory card, select paste and then when you have moved all of your pictures over to your memory card you can get them on your computer via the data cable. I miss my sony!

when you plug in connect the phone via the usb cord a window should pop up asking if you want to view the folder. select this option. when you click it, you should see four folders. dcim, music, email, bluetooth. click on dcim. your videos should be stored in this folder. just click and drag them into whichever folder on your pc you want them in. or, when you connect your phone it will give you four options. transfer music, mass storage, phone as modem, pict bridge. select transfer music. this should make the previously mentioned window pop up and you can follow my instructions from there. or, if you have you videos stored in the 'in phone' part of your phones memory you need to move them to your 'memory card' memory. just select 'options', then 'move'.

get a memory card adapter you can get one for reasonably cheap at walmart and hook that up to your computer don't use a cable that will not access files on your memory card
