Electronic Parking Brake Description tip if ice berg

Vehicles with the electric parking brake have a switch in the center console, which takes the place of the manual parking brake system, the foot pedal and release handle. In case of insufficient electrical power, the electric parking brake cannot be applied or released.
Occasionally, the electronic parking brake will automatically apply when the vehicle is not moving. The electronic parking brake performs a operational check every 50 key cycles. When this check is being performed, the park brake light on the instrument cluster becomes illuminated. This function does not affect the normal operation of the vehicle.
Electric Parking Brake Control Module The parking brake control module has an internal motor, apply actuator, release actuator, and temperature sensor. The parking brake control module also contains the logic for applying and releasing the parking brake when commanded by the park brake control switch. When the parking brake control module receives a signal from the switch the internal circuit board temperature is checked to verify it is within operating range before the control module performs the requested operation.
The electric parking brake module receives hard wired signals from the apply/release switch and communication enable. The electric parking brake module receives wheel speed sensor signals, engine torque, gear information, brake pedal signal, and etc. through GM-LAN.

How to fix my razor scooter e100?

The E100 is a Kick Start scooter, the Rear Wheel has to be Spun for it to start. This scooter will not start from a motionless position.

Could be the battery.
Put the Scooter on a block so the rear tire is raised. Remove the standing plate to reveal the battery compartment.
Charge the Unit completely

1. Using a multimeter measure the voltage across the batteries. If the voltage is below 20 volts batteries are dead - Replace batteries.
2. Now for a running test. Turn the throttle and spin the rear tire to preform a kick start. Still measuring the voltage. If the voltage is Below 20 volts or if the voltage drops quickly batteries are dead - Replace batteries.
3. If the voltage is remaining around 24 volts for a long period - then you could have connector problems, clean and tighten all connectors.
I use a fiberglass electronic cleaning brush, as contact cleaners leave residue that interfere with electrical connections.

The control module is simple and can be replaced with only a 24 volt relay without the kick start feature or Brake. If you want the brake then you can use two 24 volt relays still no Kick Start.

For those of you who know electrical, below is circuits I developed to replace the controller. This diagram will also give you a better understanding on the Razor circuit.

NOTE : This is not a schematic diagram of the Razor E100 Control Module. I designed this circuit. for my Great Nephew's Scooter.

1. The Brake is a normally closed switch that opens when you squeeze the Brake handle.
2. The throttle is two normally open switches that close when you turn the throttle.
3. The Kick Start circuit is described in the Diagram below.
4. The resistors values may need to be tweaked for best performance.

Motor will not spin. The battery indicates 24 volts and i wired the battery directly to the motor. Should this make it spin or can I be sure the motor is bad? I just want a fail safe way to know it is...

if your batteries are outputting 24 volts or more the motor should spin when connected directly to the battery, if the battery is putting out 23.9 volts the motor will not spin

24 volt trolling motor (motorguide) not working. Have 24 volts at receptacle in hull of boat but when I plug in the trolling motor and check the volts on the plug, I only read 6 volts. Any idea whats...

You have a high resistance short either inside the wiring or the lower unit. This will cause a voltage drop. I would be very careful not to keep it connected too long cuz the battery is trying to keep up with the current demand and may explode.

I have 18volts at the box that the battery leads go to and the consol leads go out of. the warning beeper goes off even when standing still and in neutral. i have tryed bridging the leads from battery to...

18 volts is not enough voltage to run this scooter. You have 2 batteries that should each read a max voltage of 13.5 volts each or 26 to 27 volts when fully charged and measured in series. 2 batteries that are 50% charged will read 24 volts. Your batteries are almost dead by this measuring method. Charge them up or replace them and your scooter should run. Hope this helps.

Wrangle is fully charged, powers up ok, when trying to move you can hear the brake release but will not move in either direction.

bqsmc Dang scooters are a mess to troubleshoot because there are so many things that have to work to make it run. Well the brake energizing means you are getting power to the brake but the problem could be the throttle pot, or the speed control pot or the motor itself. To eliminate the motor disconnect the motor connector from the wiring harness and with two jumper wires supply 12 volts to the red and black wires in the plug. (you can jumper from one of your batteries) and the brake wires (2 smaller black wires) you might try jumping the brake first to see if the 12 volts will energize it. If not you will have to supply 24 volts the brake to energize it. If you get the brake energized then supply voltage to the motor leads and it should turn (Block the rear wheels off the ground) If it doesn't then bad motor. If it turns then reconnect the connectors. And then order a speed pot and throttle pot and replace both in the console Hope this helps

Will not go. ohm wiring all good, batteries are good, checked fusses good, replaced throttle pot assembly, replaced controller.checked motor with 24 volts it works.got scooter to move by playing with...

me tool time you checked or changed about everything but did you check the electric brake. Sounds like the brake is not working or is working intermittentaly. The controller needs to get the right reading from the brake or the scooter will not go and when you release the throttle the brake should engage immediately. I can't give you a well thats the answer but you should at least ohm out the brake. If you can call rascal Company on Monday and ask for tech support they can give you what the reading should be Hope this helps

Adding trailerbrakes to a 24 volt truck

Are your electric brakes rated for 12 volt or 24 volt, that is the question. YOu have to supply the voltage at whatever the brakes are rated for.
