I have one of these, but i can't find a way to configure it. The manual tells me to enter 192.168.0.50 in my browser, but it doesn't load. Please help!
The best way to set this access point is to connect your computer directly to the device via Ethernet, disble the wireless adapter temporarily on the computer. Since this is just an access point and not a wireless router, it is not capable of providing your computer with an IP address because it has no DHCP functionality.
The IP address you mentioned is the deafault IP address of the access point, there is a posibility that the default IP has been change.
Do a reset on the access point then assign an IP address manually on your computer(i.e 192.168.1.x x- bein any number from 1 to 254 except 50)
Access the AP using Internet Explorer or Firefox, type http://192.168.1.50 on the address bar it should prompt you for a username and password(check you documentation for the default username and password for the access point)

One of the problems with setting up any of these access points or routers is to understand the concept for connection. First of all, your will need to go into the properties of the local network connection and open the TCIP protocal and change the ip configuration from the auto to a set ip address. Use 192.168.0.5 or anything between 1-256 except 50. then set your submask to 255.255.255.0 which will automatically load when you access that field. Then click OK to complete this setup. If you are lost in what I am saying by now, you may not be able to understand what is happening and need to get someone who understands this help you. Once you have setup your local network adapter then you can plug it into you Dlink AP and open up you browser. Put the IP 192.168.0.50 into your URL file and hit enter and you should get the First screen for the setup of the unit, it will ask for a username - put in admin, leave the password blank and hit Okay to continue and then do your setup per your manual and the confiuration you desire. Hope this will help and it does work. Andre' Peery
