We bought an animated marine lamp for my granddaughter and after three weeks the pictures stopped turning. We have searched everywhere for another one and cannot find it. Everynight my granddaughter would say put the "fishies" on and would fall asleep while watching them move around. She even had names for them. We can only use it as a night light now and she asks why they are not moving. The barcode is 6 9420230601 7 and the number above it is 1636809 (18890). How can we get a replacement for her? We buy discovery kids products all the time and are disappointed that this lasted only a few weeks. Thank you for your kind attention

My Sony KDS-60A3000 randomly turns off, then the red "Power LED" blinks three times repeatedly (not "Lamp LED"). We turn it back on, the process repeats again between 20-60 minutes.

3 blinks of Standby/power LED of Sony sets denotes a SMPS board [G-board] failure. . Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

I just replaced the bulb last week, yet this time the TV will still not turn on and all three lights are still blinking.

It is possible that the replacement lamp is bad but more likely the TV has a protection mode that triggers wen the lamp goes out. Check the manual for ways to reset the lamp usage back to zero or a function that needs to be manually reset when the lamp is changed.

Lamps from Discovery Kids recalled for fire hazard

Tue, Jul 3, 2012 (BabyCenter News) -- Discovery Kids has announced a recall of about 300,000 of its animated marine and safari lamps in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

recalledlamp.jpg?width=153
The placement of internal wires near the circuit board can cause electrical short-circuiting and sparking, which poses a fire and burn hazard. There have been 11 reports of short circuiting, including three where the lamps caught on fire and caused property damage. No injuries have been reported.
The Discovery Kids Animated Marine and Safari Lamps feature rotating films with marine or safari scenes. The words "Discovery Kids" are printed on the front top-left corner of the product. The lamps have both an 11-digit batch number that begins with either 584894 or 10128 and a model number of 1628626, 1642433, 1641522, 1641523, 1645729, or 1645853. Batch numbers can be found imprinted in the plastic underneath the lamps and on the bottom of the packaging. Model numbers can be found on stickers placed underneath the lamps and on the bottom of the packaging near the barcode.
The lamps were sold at Bed Bath & Beyond, Bonton, JCPenney, Kohls, Office Max, and Toys "R" Us stores nationwide and online at Amazon, Ideeli, JCPenney, Kohls, Macy's, and Overstock. The lamps were sold from June 2010 through March 2012 for between $10 and $20. They were made in China.

GaSeveral years ago, we bought our granddaughter the zoo set and put it together for her. Then they moved and had to take it apart. Unfortunately they lost the directions. We are going out to visit them,...

The Playmobil company doesn't actually provide assembly instructions just a paper which includes all the pieces in the zoo.

Not sure which Zoo you have but here are two links to each one they sell. Hopefully the pictures will help a little bit.

Large Zoo

Children's Zoo

It's probably best to start by building your animal pens and the main zoo structure by snapping the pieces together. The pens and structure are built of the white brick pieces, the yellow railings and the green roof pieces. Assemble any animals that require assembly, such as the peacock. Simply match up the two pieces and snap them together. Decorate each exhibit with plants by snapping them into the plant holders.

Hope this helps!

The first lamp "burned out" after only half a year of use and we only used it once a week. We bought a replacemente lamp and it burned out after three weeks... Someone plugged in the projector, the lamp...

The early lamp failures are due to poor air flow or longer hours of use.
So take care to clean the filters, see that the lamp brigtness is not put too high and reduce the hours of continuous use.

Your lamp door switch or lamp switch (there are 2) may not be fully engaged or one may have failed. Try seating the lamp again, you may not have it fully installed.

Trying to turn on tv and no picture. bought new

Rulds2008 is probably right. I had the same problem, but have no TV repair shop near me. So since I have experience fixing computers, I decided to repair the TV myself. I initially repaired the Lamp, but the TV still flashed all three lights. Called Samsung and they told me that I might need to replace the ballast, but it would be best to bring it to a repair shop. The repair shop offered to come out and look at it for $150 or bring it in for $120, even though they were about 30 mins away. Ordered both parts on www.Samsungparts.com and got them in three days. Still had the three flashing lights. Took apart the entire TV (googled it on youtube) and vacuumed and dusted the TV and took apart the color wheel (about 20-30 mins). It was completed busted. Found out that if the color wheel is broken, it will not send a signal to the ballast to tell it to start up and power the lamp. So if you have replaced the lamp and/ or the ballast and it does not light up, it is more than likely that it is your color wheel (buy it on ebay or amazon, got it in three days versus a 3-4 week back order on company sites). Also, make sure the power switch on back is being pushed upwards and not downwards or the TV also will not start. Total parts cost me ($400) versus having someone else fix it and charge me double with labor and parts. TV is better than ever. Hope this helps.
