If the motor just hums and there is nothing stopping the motor from spinning then it is smoked and will need to be replaced. Wish I had a more happier answer for you but I don't.

sounds like an induction motor. start winding or start capacitor not starting to turn motor, This will make motor hum. Do not know m/c in qestion. Switch on and as soon as pos try to turn motor careful not to use hands or anything that can injure yourself with if it starts to spin.
hello from what you are saying it sounds like not enough power have you connected this to power supply with output voltage 13.8volts ,,yes well if you have the problem is with the voltage regulator you will need to have this replaced this would cause the hum unless you were using a battery with charger connected this would cause a hum aswell goodluck
The montherboard doesn't have anything that would make a humming noise. In all likelyhood it's the fan that sits on top of teh processor. It could be normal, but might need to be replaced or cleaned.
Sounds like a weak motor. You'll have to get a new motor installed. They are fairly inexpensive and easy to install yourself on that type of machine if you are handy. Motor is located in the bottom right of the machine, attached to the drum belt through a small pulley underneath the drum next to the motor.
Could be a failed compressor start relay. They are replaceable. Get one at an appliance parts store for your model or a generic one. Make sure you are unplugged before changing.

the way you mention look like the main motor jammed and making the humming noise click out on overload then the humming noise stop and after a while it will humming again and continue like that until you switch off the machine.
