Hi, at a guess I would say that your batteries possibly no longer hold a charge. If the scooter has been provided for you get the organisation who gave it to you to check it over, they should service it for you.
There is a link below for the website that provides an owners manual, this may help you troubleshoot the problem
If you need anything else please post another query.
make sure battery cables are secure at battery terminals and clean.how old are the batteries. If the batteries run down fast they are no good.a good way to test them is put scooter against some thing solid and go forward. If the battery indicator drops to o the batteries are no good.It takes about 10 hours to charge the batteries
with good batteries, and under ideal conditions (flat smooth surface) this scooter should be good for up to 30 km. this is highly dependant on the surface, slopes, rider weight, and battery condition, but with good batteries you should easily be able to do a round of golf.
the biggest problem you may have will be the batteries themselves. after 18 months without use, the batteries may have suffered from a sulphur build up on the lead plates in the battery. this can mean that the batteries will show fully charged, but will not put out the full power. the best way to test this is to take the batteries down to your local car garage and ask them to do a "load test" sometimes called a "drop test" on the batteries. they will usually do this free of charge and it only takes a few minutes. a 100amp load test for 8 seconds should tell you the condition of the batteries. if the batteries test ok, then you should not have any problems using the scooter for a round of golf.
hi, first you need to check the connections to the batteries then to the motor controller, and don't dismiss the speed pot, disconnect the speed pot and try a normal 5K pot inplace of it, if the scooters responds you find the problem just a case of getting the right speed pot. Check the freewheel switch, normally it located on the motor side.
Not sure if this will help... however an altmeter will allow you to test along your electrics for any faults. You can check at the lights for example and throught the system.
