Thanks for visiting FixYa!

You have a couple of options that you should carefully consider.

Option 1) Send the phone to the manufacturer for repair. However, when you do you'll probably receive a notice that the handset should be replaced with a new one (because it is beyond repair). Manufacturers would rather sell you a new handset than repair an old one due to numerous reasons. And, the price will probably be much higher than purchasing the handset locally or from eBay.

Option 2) You're going to need to know the exact model number of your phone. There are MANY DECT 6.0 Digital Cordless Phone Models. And, you need the exact model number to replace the handset.

New, replacement handsets can be purchased on eBay for far less than you'd pay for one from the manufacturer. On most phones, a new handset is programmed to the base by setting the handset in the base (not the spare extension charger base - but the main base) for 20 seconds. But, read your user guide to make sure.

If you do elect to send your handset in for repair, (and it can be repaired) I've seen it take from one to two months to get one back. So, keep this in mind when making your decision. The address for service and repair can be found in your phone's owner's manual. Or, you can click on this link to visit the Vtech Support Web page: Vtech Product Support Notice on their web page there isn't an actual link for repairs. As I wrote, they'd rather replace than repair it.

The actual cost for repairs won't be known until the handset is inspected by a qualified technician.

My suggestion is to save yourself a major headache and replace the handset either locally or from eBay.

N73 low sound for top loud speaker and earpiece when calling

HI, when a cell phone has Low sound for top loud speaker and earpiece when calling , it is when the loud speaker and the earpiece are weak to perform accurately and will need to be replace for better sound quality for your cell phone.

When a phone drops on the flow or water gets into it,might cause the hearing of the lod speaker sound to go weaker and weaker every time.

When you replace the ear piece and the speaker, you phone will work perfectly again.

If when you replace the speaker and soundisstillthe same , that means it's an IC chip problem inside the cell phone . An expert will help you on that.

Hope it helped.

Blown speaker type noise with iphone reciever

Hello,
I have seen this before three or four times on the i-phone. Your earpiece is broken and needs to be replaced. The firmware is not going to change anything. Bring it to at&t and they will flip it or repair it for you under warranty. If that is not an option, take it to any other service center that is qualified and certified, and they should be able to do it in like 45 min time while you wait. If you cant find anywhere to do it check my profile and we can help you out. Hope this helps.

Bad quality of my sounds

this could be because of the quality of your speakers or you have not selected the right ones from the drop down list
if your computer came with a motherboard disk the sound drivers could be on it
control panel sounds and audio, volume, advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers also
audio you will find 3 drop down lists make the necessary adjustments there or
control panel, administrive tools, computer management, device manager, sound video and game controllers could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers

hope this helps

Just bought these new speakers to use for phone

Pretty much not. With speakers, you usually get what you pay for. As far as "showing up" the only thing you get is the little speaker icon at the lower right hand corner of the screen.

Dropped the phone and can't get any sound just vibrates

Hello emenchaca5,

It sounds like when the phone was dropped the internal speaker was damaged. There isn't anything you can personally do about it. The idea of repairing it is much more difficult then just replacing the phone.

If you have AT&T you would be able to switch out the sim cards with a new phone and not have much trouble. Regardless your best bet is to replace the phone. If you have anymore questions post back for additional help.

Thank you for choosing Fixya!

Thanks

i dont think that the buzzer speaker is broke i believes its just off of alignment with the molding track inside the phone if your careful and you want to pursue opening it up i caution this cause this is very delicate inside static elect. can short your phone when opened

buzzer speakers are durable and hard its just ear wax and sweat in the ear piece can break down the glue they used to mount the buzzer speaker over time this and a dropped phone will displace the speaker

if you open look at mother boards sides together there should be 2 small solder points where speaker goes place speaker in a proximate to these points eye ballin it dont completly close phone yet once sound has come back to levels you want then use a little super glue to spot glue the speaker into place
but over all i wouldnt recommend opening it let the service provider tech handle that one

Iphone voice quality

Hi Doc,
Yes It seems that the bump when you dropped it cracked the earpiece. It happens often. Keep in mind that this is the first cell phone apple has made so they are still learning. It could have been worse.Trust me! The i-phone when dropped on the otherside (bottom) the wifi radio breaks! That part is next to impossible to get. Back to your problem. Like i was saying, its a simple repair for any authorized service center with i-phone experiance to replace. We do i-phone repairs quite a bit at my store, as the i-phone is not sold by any carrier herein Canada, so people come to us. It should cost you about 60$ with installation if its an out of warranty item. If you want us to do it for you, just go to our site aand shoot me an email

Speaker hookup

sounds like 1 of your speakers is fed backwards. this does happen quite often. try reversing the chords from the second speaker. (put grey in white and white in grey) if this doesn't work then theres a short and it should be taken back.
