You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.
No, it stays lit because there *are* messages, just not voice mail messages. Press the MESSAGE button and look at the display. Look at what's above soft key #3. If you don't need the information in the first line, use the CLEAR key to erase it.
Check the network interface card where the RG45 network cable plugs in, and verify that both the amber and green lights are on. One normally flashes the other stays lit. If not? Check the router/switch/modem for light activity where the same cable is plugged into. Also try uninstalling and reinstalling the network interface card device in Device manager. Reboot after doing so to see if that fixes your problem

Press " Intercom " # 4 0 9 to cancel msg lamp that was not left by voicemail or press the message lamp and when it rings to an internal phone have someone answer it and that will turn off the lamp also.
