go to the canon website, there are 1000's of people with the same problem, it the way the camera been made and they will fix it for free, they fixed mine...
Just a guess, but is there a card inserted to record the images? Also, does the card have space available on it? Maybe it's full and just not telling you that.
Also, try the Canon support website to see if others are having the same problem and have found a solution.
It is known problem of ccd imager chip failure in Canon ZR85 camera and ccd imager chip will be replaced to fix the issue. Local camera repair shop will help you to replace ccd imager chip because solder work is involve. Thanks.
