I have a lg cd/dvd burner, supermulti. How do i find out if it supports cd&g burning or copying karaoke discs? I dont know a model number, its internal.

Do you mean "how to burn files from a portable device to the mac" instead? You will need burning software like Nero or other software that is compatible with your mac. The process includes copying the files from the portable device to your mac hard drive then use burning software to burn the files to a dvd or cd disk. I don't know about mac but with a pc, you simple drag and drop the files from the portable device to your hard drive using Windows Explorer.

The problem isn't the burner. You need karaoke software to burn and view cdg files. Below is a link to free karaoke software. Install the software (or a software package of your choosing) and re-burn your files.

this might be because you have not selected the option to burn an audio dvd or your burning software does not support dvd burning

my LG SUPERMULTI DVD WRITER doesn't read SECURE DISCS .

If the tray opens, try putting in a CD or DVD. Then check if the media is recognized by a program to burn a disc (Roxio Toast) or a media player. For example, in Toast, someone saw a pop-up query to select the desired CD/DVD burner after clicking Record.

I hope this helps. If the tray doesn't open, you need to diagnose the power problem. Check if the power brick has gotten warm first.

I'll recommend you to directly try Driver Detective and let the software have a free scan to automatically detect & update the missing LG drivers. This way things can be much easier & efficient. Also you don't have to risk install wrong drivers which might cause severe system issues.

drive dosent apear

karaoke has a special encoding you know..

in window under my computer is your DVD writer shown as DVD-RAM drive, if not then re-instal the drivers for your DVD.

If its installed as DVD-RAM then right click the DVD-RAM icon in the my computer and choose properties, under the recording tab select enable recording, try burning a cd using the windows xp based roxio by sending your files to the DVD-ROM.
If it burn a CD this way then all you neec to do is use a different CD burning application software.
