A7 is outlet temperature sensor fault.
Temperature below freezing or above 210 degrees F

1) Check red wire connections at hot water temperature sensor. Clean terminals with an eraser. If badly corroded, replace sensor and wire harness. (See Fig. 63, page 46 in manual).
2) Sensor may trip if water temperature drops below freezing to protect heater from freezing conditions. Any damage due to freezing conditions is not covered under warranty.
3) Clean inlet filter screen and clear any debris out of shower heads, faucet aerators and whole house filters.
4) In areas where water has a high mineral content, periodic descaling may be necessary.

My suburban water heater quit heating on the electric side.

1) Anode rod prevents tank from rusting. And would not affect daily operation.

2) Maybe the element is burned out;

Just replaced both elements to my reliance electric heater..heats fine but after 1 shower i have to reset red button and repeat process daily Whats up? thanks

Replace thermostats.
One of the thermostats is sticking causing overheating that trips ECO reset located on upper thermostat. There is no good way to test thermostats since testing means turning the temperature setting which temporarily unsticks bad thermostat so it looks like it works ok, so replace both thermostats.

Reset button needs reset daily

Thermostat may need replacing in order to take care of this issue.

You may try turning temperature down a little and see if it will stay on. Temperature may be set high and heater heating beyond limit and tripping it out.

More than likely theremostat is going bad.
