I HAVE A 1990 24 VOLT MOTORGUIDE ON MY 18 FT BASSBOAT AND WANT TO REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE,,,,WILL THE MOUNTING HOLES ON THE NEW ONES LINE UP WITH THE HOLES ALREADY DRILLED IN MY BOW

As long as you purchase another MotorGuide or MinnKota Trolling Motor the holes should line up on the Bow Plates.

Have a 56lbs thrust motorguide that is 12/24 volt. it has three wires how do i hook it up to have 24 volt

2 of the wires are line voltage and they share a common nuetral.if they hook to batteries then the common will go to the neg of each battery and the other leads go to the positive terminal

Need to replace water pump

To replace the water pump on a Cavalier follow these steps:

* Disconnect negative battery cable

* Drain the cooling system into a proper container.

* Remove the serpentine belt

* Remove the alternator and bracket

* Unscrew the water pump pulley mounting bolts and remove the pulley.

* Unfasten the mounting bolts and remove the water pump.

* Use a putty knife and thoroughly clean old gasket material off of gasket mounting surface.

* Place a small bead of RTV sealant on new water pump.

* Put on gasket and make sure bolt holes are lined up properly.

* Install the water pump and tighten the retaining bolts to 18 ft lbs.

* Install the water pump pulley and then go back to retaining bolts and tighten to 22 ft lbs.

* Reinstall alternator and bracket.

* Put on serpentine belt.

* Fill cooling system to proper level with coolant.

* Connect battery cable, start the engine, and check for leaks.
