Your technician needs to program "lhk 1" for your ext from the Phone system maintenance terminal for a call to roll to the 2nd line.

Why would a NorStar StarTalk suddenly stop accepting voicemail calls?

"Q: My Norstar Startalk, Flashtalk, or voice mail says my mailbox is not accepting any more messages. I deleted all my messages, but callers still cannot leave a message. Why?
A: Check with your voice mail administrator. Chances are another Mailbox on the system used up all the message storage space. Usually it's the general delivery mailbox that hasn't been checked for messages on a regular basis."

Nortel/Norstar ICS phone system - Calls go to wrong voicemail on calls forwarded with NA

Check the forward no answer setting for number of rings on each extension that has ringing lines. The number of rings should be more than the auto attendant is set to answer with.

I cant get my new greeting on norstar telephone to save.

Chances are you're logging into your voicemail system and pressing the REC button ... that's to record a greeting that you send to someone else's voicemail box. You need to login to your voicemail, go to ADMIN (or dial 8), then select GREET, REC, PRIM, ... should be straight forward from then on. If you have trouble still, send me more details about what you're doing.

Problem has just come up-We have 4 incoming lines-for some reason every once in a while now you hear a very, very brief ring (milisecond) and it goes directly to a voice mail. We are sitting here and...

If the voicemail it goes to is the on site voicemail, then try canceling call forwarding of the phone associated with the mailbox that gets the message by pressing FEATURE #4 from that phone. If the voicemail it goes to is an external voicemail as in that of a cellphone then try canceling line redirection by pressing #84 then press the line to cancel redirection on. Repeat for additional lines.

Norstar Flash problem

Cycle the power on the voicemail system. If that does not work, you may have to replace the voicemail power supply, or send the voicemail system for repair.
Good Luck!
