You may need to reset your device and you will see a reset button at back of your router so all you need is to keep holding it for 10 seconds then unplug the power jack for like 1 min and then your device shall be reset.But please make sure to backup your all settings first. Good Luck

If I'm understanding right, you are plugging in a regular "residential" phone into a phone system jack. The system phones work differently than home phones and you won't get a dial tone out of the jack unless you use a system phone.

Connect the handset and dial **** and 73738# and press 1 to confirm the resetting. wait for 1 minute and after 1 minute plug out the device and now you can access the device.

Have setup in this order dsl modem,dir615 router,spa2102 phone adapter,get dial tone,hear ringing when making or receiving calls but no voice,what gives??

incoming voice ports are not open on the router. the devioce uses one IP port to set up the call (ringing) and at least 2 others for audio. read the manual I'm afraid.

The phones worked last night, this morning nothing

If the phone rings but no dial tone, possible phone unit is faulty. I suggest to try a different phone unit to verify if it's faulty. If the other phone isn't working too, then report the issue to your phone provider.

HP640 not receiving with Distinctive Ring Option

You need a dedicated ANALOG phone line.

A DSL filter screens out ANALOG signals to a DSL device.not the other way around. There are no DIGITAL fax machines.
