Check and replace damaged component/s at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the LOT (Line Output Transformer) too for damage. Replace the horizontal scan output transistor. Replace its Horizontal output Transistor. If the base-emitter junction has a leak inside it, this type of fault will occur. Before replacing it, check the main DC voltage to LOT [Line Output Transformer]. It should come around 102VDC. If there is not this much voltage, check the electrolytic filter capacitor connected across thie supply line to main negative for open or value developed. Replace the same is good. Till there is low voltage found, check the retifier diode that rectifies this 102 volt DC. If all the above are OK and still you get a stamp like raster, check the heat of the Horizontal Output Transistor described above. if it overheats, LOT is defective and should be replaced with same type and number. OK.

Complete loss of horizontal oscillation and output is the trouble. To get it repaired you have to open your TV, Just look the horizontal driver transformer, a small transformer fitted on the main board very near to the line output transformer [LOT] for winding opened. If its primary winding gets opend, even though the horizontal oscillator section works, the pulses will not reach the horizontal output trnasistor, which drive the above said LOT, and the fault you describes will occur. Check the main secondary regulated supply voltage [140VDC] also. If this voltage is missing, check the reason and follo the supply rail print from the SMPS power supply reguator section.
Check the low voltage regulator IC, usually 7808 or 7812, which can be located on the main board, which supplies 8VDC or 12VDC to the ICs on the main board. Anyway, there is no horizontal output fuction in your tV. and try to find it. If you wants furthermore assistance, feel free to get me through Fixya. OK.

look for trouble in the low voltage and or high voltage power supply circuits. the popping sound could be an exploded safety capacitor in the horizontal output to the flyback transformer. the horizontal output transistor maybe damaged. chances are the low voltage regulator is also damaged.

I disagree with given info, this tv has no horizontal output transistor because it is dlp tv.
3 red light blink means lamp cover is not placed back properly after lamp replacement/ lamp checking. Make sure lamp cover is fixed back in its place securely and tight.

In some countries there are electronic stores that test flyback transformer by winding a few turns on the ferrite core and applying a test voltage. This test will only test the secondary. The primary winding is difficult to test for turn to turn short because the resistance is quite low and you do not know the 'good' resistance.

The voltage might be low because is being loaded down,open the collector of the output transistor and measure the voltage again,if it goes up to 130 or the voltage is suppose to have you might be looking at a bad output transformer(flyback)there are other parts that can cause the loaded down voltage,the yoke can be one and capacitors in the deflection circuit,check to see if one of this caps is overheated (bubble)or cook,Be carefull if you open the collector when you measure the voltage,If you can try measuring the voltage somewhere else.Lets Us know if you need meore help.
