I used Topchic Ash Ash, kept the colour on for less than 15 min and instead of lighter it turned my hair dark grey/black. This is the second time it happened, really don't know what to do. last time I thought I kept it on too long (30min). When I used it for the first few times it looked stunning ash blonde, what's going on!!!!!

Can I use 2 black cartridges instead of 1x colour And 1x black

no point

I have my hair dyed dark brown but it always comes out two toned with a lighter color in it kind of red. she uses an ash now . the top is always two toned. just want a more solid dark brown

I'm assuming you are a brunette... I am too and this happens to a lot of us when it comes to dying our hair. Most brunettes have natural red or sometimes a dark blond highlights so there for when we dye it it will come out two toned. Everybody's hair has some type of natural highlight. However if you were to have blond hair and went straight to a dark brown it will actually permanently stain the hair causing any further dying is to be expected. Try dying your hair bases darker than the second tone. Next time try a cheasnut brown paying extra attention to the known areas of discoloration. Hope that helps hun

it's only possible to lift 3 shades (like 3to 6, or 4 to 7) without taking undertones into consideration. To go from a dark brown (level 3) to a 9n you would have to pre-lighten your hair with an on the scalp bleach first. Then color with 9n and 20 volume

I have been a hairdresser for 30 years! This is what needs to be done YES use a ash based color ! Use a 8 or a 9 with 10 volume peroxide and it will tone down the brassy color and make it a nice golden blonde with the least amount of damage to your hair ! Compared to the others advice!

Have bleached my hair using powder bleach and 9 vol peroxide can i put koleston 12/1 colour on top of it

I would not do that. if you are wanting to go darker. If you are blond and you use an ash color, it will go really ashy or bluish. However if you are trying to go lighter, yes you can. use at least 30 vol. and follow timing instructions.

Hello Dear

The Dark natural is the best choice but when your hair grow they are naturally grey or white, the show a great different that look odd sometimes. Try one tone down in darker shades. Ash grey is a good option if that suits you and your complexsion. If you need further assisstance tell me your complexsion tone.
Hope it will help you.
best wishes
