Pump stopped working during the final rinse at end of descaling process. Note: we live in Vancouver, BC. The water here is naturally soft.

Neff error code E5123. What is it

I am not sure if this applies to your model as I translated it from German.....

Error E5121, E5122 or E5123: Problem with the pump On FullSteam steam ovens, the display may show error codes E5121, E5122 or E5123. These indicate that either the pump or the water hose are clogged or calcified. To rectify the fault, proceed as follows: 1. Descale the device according to the operating instructions. 2. Use the special liquid descaler from our NEFF shop for this. 3. If error E5122 occurs when rinsing after descaling, it can be rectified by waiting about 30 minutes after inserting the tank with fresh water before closing the shutter and thus continuing the rinsing process. The pump then has time to cool down. It is particularly stressed during descaling and can cause the malfunction if it heats up.

What does the red light descaling prompt light stay on? how can i know i have everything possible?

Hi,
Fill it up the tank with descaler and start the machine on descaling. Leave it to trow all the liquid and must finish to the bottom, leave the machine to get AIR when descaler finished. Then the machine will stop and will tell you to put fresh water to clean . Fill the water tank to the MAX level and continue with the program. When the water is on minimum ,machine will stop, and the descaling process must be finished.
Good luck

I have a Gaggia Titanium, I did descaling, had difficulty during the process. It shows ventilate. I have tried priming, but it doesn't pump water through the nozzle

Hi.

Disconnect and re-apply power (unplug power cord). After that try doing rinse and descale procedure as from manual. You may need to keep adding water while performing the procedure.

See also: the ventilate error.

Descaling Single Boiler Home espresso machines (HOME SINGLE BOILER ESPRESSO MACHINES)

Approximately every 3 months (depending on your use and the water hardness), clean the machine with natural citric acid based decalcifying agent.
1. Add a descaling solution into the water reservoir. Mix thoroughly to dissolve (use warm water for better results).
2. Remove the filter holder and place a cup under the group head and another cup, or other container, under the steam wand to catch cleaning solution.
3. Turn espresso machine on, turn coffee pump on and run approximately 8 oz. of solution through the brew head. Turn machine off and let the machine sit for 15 minutes.
4.Run approximately 8 oz. through the steam wand, and again, turn machine off and let sit for 15 minutes.
Repeat by allowing solution to run alternately through the steam wand and brew head. Turn espresso machine off after each cycle. Repeat process until solution has been run through.
5. Do not leave espresso machine on. Do not wait for the ready light to come on. Do not use the steam switch during this process. Do not allow reservoir to run empty!
6. Rinse reservoir thoroughly with fresh water. Refill reservoir with fresh water. Run half a tank of fresh water through group head, alternating between group head and steam wand.

How to descale machine-is there a video showing how? I have the Saeco Magic Comfort + machine.

Hi
I put this next statement in so your machine will last longer.
Enter the menu by pressing the menu button. Scroll down until you reach "water hardness" and then press the menu button to activate. Scroll down to the hardness of your water (chose 4 to be safe) and press the menu button again for the computer to remember. Push escape (esc.) and scroll to "Descale) about 4 up from water hardness, and push enter.
To descale your Magic Comfort +, enter the menu and scroll to descale. Push the menu button to descale. Mix your solution in your water tank. Use warm to hot water and dissolve all the solution. Place the water tank on your machine. With a container under the steam wand that is large enough to catch all the water in the tank, you are ready to begin. To start the descaling process, open the steam knob. The machine will automatically start the descaling process and when it is finished, it will shut off and tell you that it needs to be rinsed. Remove the water tank and rinse with fresh water. Refill the water tank and place it on the machine. Turn off the machine, wait a moment, and then turn it back on. Press the hot water button to start pumping fresh water through the boiler. Pump out about 16 oz. of water and then turn off the hot water button and open the steam knob to rinse the steam boiler. When it starts to go to steam, turn off and turn on the hot water button again. Pump out another 16 oz. Repeat this process with the steam knob until you have emptied the water tank. Descaling is complete. Go to your menu and scroll to "reset descale", push the enter button and chose "Yes" and push the enter button. Now it will tell you we next to be descaled.
