I am using nokia stereo WH-701, i am able to hear the music but i cannot use the controls, all of them, i'm using C7 nokia. i'm desperate how to make it work.

There is no battery in this model headphone. Look for a broken wire. You'll need a continuity meter to test for open wires.

Try turning your volume up all the way so you can hear the other person. The volume control should be somewhere on the sides. Or it may show up as a slider with a picture display indicating which way to increase or decrease the volume.

The nokia headset is setup to carry both sound audio to the ear buds and microphone audio to the device. It is not setup to be used in a regular headphone jack unfortunatly and that is why you will get distortion and possibly damage your nokia headset by using it in that manner.
