Make sure your scanner is working properly and the software has been already installed to the server or computer to access the scanner. this steps can help you to operate the scanner.1. connect the scanner to your PC, mostly scanner now is using USB cable 2. and then turn ON your scanner, place your material to be scanned like you were using photo copier 3.press the scan button to acquire the image 4. then preview the scan, the scanner software should display a preview on your computer screen 5. and now select the scan area in the scanner software 6.next set other options for example set the the color or the resolution of the document 7. then scan the image and save it into your disk make as your new folder. after you save you can now send this document.

Need to scan docs from scanner to pc

You have to install scanner and printer software came along with the HP 3030 model.Once setup complete it will try to do self diagnose the scanner connectivity.Then when you press the button on the scanner ,scanner will send the data to pc to activate the scanner software automatically.

I can't scan to e-mail.

Connect the scanner to the PC install the scanner software, place the Document on to the scanner and close then on your PC desktop or open My Computer right click on the scanner icon and select scan picture.
Save the picture or the document, open your e-mail after typing or just how you usually send e-mail, 0n the send option bar/tap select add attachment wait to open then locate the scan doc by browsing the pop-up menu select your scan doc and click OK/ADD the doc will be added to your e-mail message now you can send it.

The sensor that you can't see (at the bottom facing up) needed to be cleaned. Once cleaned with a cotton swab and alcohol the scanner works fine.

How do i scan document to e-mail

Answer - scan doc to e-mail out. You need equipment (scanner, copier/scanner/printer, etc. to scan your doc. The software will ask you where you want to store it on your computer. Then go to e-mail program and click on new mail. After you fill out "to:", "regarding" etc. find the tab for "attachment". That tab will allow you to search your computer for doc you want to attach and send. Then send! Good luck! Va.

If you are running Windows, and have a modem, you can use the Windows Fax Services which are built in.

You may not have it installed, as it's an optional component. Go to Control Pane/Add Remove programs. Select Windows Components on the left hand side. If Fax services is not checked, do so, and press OK. You may need your original Windows install CD to complete the task.
