I have a Husqvarna 2754GLS lawn tractor. I pulled the pin to disenage the transmission so the tractor could be in free wheel mode. The pin will not go back into place to disenage free model. I push the rod and it flexes but will not move.
Looking for a solution on how to engage the transmission again.

The pin disengages a " Dog Clutch " . In order for it to re-engage , the dogs need to be aligned. To do this , release the pin and rock the tractor forward or back till the drive re-engages. Cheers

Sitting on the cth173 it is behind the right hand back wheel.Get off mower look at wheel an 9 oclock, Between treads of tire and mudgard you will see a wire. It pulls in and out'Good luck
Remove the center dust caps from the rear axles, start the tractor up
and put it in gear and observe the axles, if one of them is spinning
freely inside the wheel, you have lost the 1/4" square key that pins
the wheel to the axle. Replace the key and you can go back to mowing. Hope this helped Tim
Hello. We've had several solutions lately on the hydrostatic transmissions, and usually, what you did would normally correct the problem. We have had one person report that the fully "IN" position did not correct the issue, but somewhere between the "IN" and the "OUT" positions was just right. In his case, the positioning rod was bent. Try various positions. You are on the right track.
This machine has pins to hold the wheels to the axle. The pins may be out and allow for a "free wheel " mode. Check that these pins are locking the axle to the wheel. If so the problem is between the wheels and the drive belt.
I recommend using a local lawn mower shop like arco lawn equipment

raise seat remove battery and batt box you should be able to see top of transaxle. wash off good with hose, then find where pin meets lever on axle. tap lightly with hammer to the front position. be sure pin is not in lock position
Hi,
I don't know what model you have, but if the wheel has a single bolt in the center of the rim, the wheel is pressed onto the axle shaft and a puller is required to pull the rim off once the bolt is removed. For reinstalling, the bolt will press the rim back onto the shaft.
Hope this helps... Good luck!
