My father has a pocket watch from 1904, well that is what is engraved on it. On the face of the watch says Hampden, and is in numeric, and has a round small seconds piece. On the opening of the watch the manufacturer is the Dueber Watchcase Manufacturing Co., it is 14 karat gold special filled watch case. John C. Dueber's name is on the sticker as well. Can you tell me what the watch is worth? Also, on the outside of the case it has initals, it seems it was special ordered.

Take your watch to a jewler for proper evaluation. While there, have the watch cleaned, oiled and adjusted as may be necessary.

This is a repair site ... few here are equipped top properly give you any estimate as to value of your watch.

I want to know if this is fake or real BVLGARI CALIBRO 303

Feel the weight of the watch - is it heavy? Examine the watch carefully - does it look like a top quality item? Is the watch casing as well finished on the back as on the front? Look very carefully at the dial - is the lettering crisply printed on it? A quality manufacturer like Bulgari would not produce a watch with a face that was anything less than perfect - no smudged lettering, no glue residues , no misaligned batons and no spelling mistakes.
Where did you get the watch? - if it was bought on an auction site for way below it's true worth then it's almost certainly fake.

However, if you obtained it from a reputable source, look on the side of the watch case - each watch is individually numbered.
Also, on the back you will see an engraved emblem. It will either be the Enigma or Bvlgari emblem. Engraved around the emblem is "Created by Gianni Bvlgari Swiss Made" and a model marker.
The inside of the clasp is also engraved Enigma on one side and the Enigma hologram on the other. The face of the watch has the Enigma logo, the word ENIGMA and the word Geneve inscribed on it.

I think, though, the fact that you're asking at all probably means you already know the answer.

I have a diamond encrusted rolex daytona 24 watch, is it real? it has about 200 diamonds on it, if its real how much will it be worth?

A feature of Rolex watches is a solid caseback. The only time an engraving is placed on any Rolex watch casebacks is as an aftermarket feature (i.e "Tom, I love you, Sue").

The "Winner Daytona 24" engraving on the back is, i'm afraid, a common feature of a replica Rolex watch.

I have a pocket watch that is engraved with 1904. It is numeric, and has a small face on bottom for the seconds. There is a sticker that states it is from The Dueber Watchcase Manufacturing Co. It states...

Didn't I just provide remarks for you on this matter?

Please take your watch to a jeweler in your torn and have it cleaned, adjusted and oiled.

How do you open the back of an antique Elgin pocket watch

You might be able to pop it open with a pocket knife ... don't stab yourself though.

Have a waltham pocket watch in an illinois case enameled dial with a recessed seconds dial at bottom with a numeric 6. seconds on face also. can't find year or pic of this watch

If you go to the web site "www.antique-pocket-watch.com/waltham-pocket-watch.html", you will find information about Waltham watches and if you read the serial number off the movement (open the back and read it off the back plate), you may be able to find out the year of manufacture.

How find serial number on ~1910 hamilton pocket watch?

The serial number is usually engraved on the movement. If you open the back of the watch, you should be able to see it.

I looked at the Hamilton pocket watch site (in might be helpful if you visit the site, simply type "hamiltonpocketwatches.com" into your search engine and your will be able to examine photos of a number of movements).

The position and size of the number varies but it shouldn't take to long to find. One of the pictures I found impossible to see the number but the rest I found, although sometimes you had to look quite carefully.

Cartier signature

The cartier logo forms the right hand part of the 'V' on the VII numeral on my watch.

Initally it just looks the same as the V numeral until you look very closely.
