My z50 cub cadet starts fine but when I release the parking brake it dies. I checked the 20 amp fuse and its good. Pushed in the safety switch on the seat and still dies. What could it be?

There is a safety switch that is attached to your parking brake ander the side board. Check that out.

Cub cadet 44 inch 20 HP kohler engine. Dies when brake released. By passed seat switch, still does same thing.

While seat occupied, the safety relay is energized and opens the seat to PTO switch and Brake switch kill circuits.

Check the operation of the safety relay.

With engine off and key in RUN position you should hear the relay click when you sit in the seat (remove your seat switch bypass and reconnect seat switch).

Cub Cadet Series 3000 will not turn over.

Pull the connector from the back of the PTO switch and the 4 wire connector at engine. Replace fuse. Turn key to run.

Did fuse blow? No, turn key to start and back to run.

Did fuse blow? No, plug in engine connector.

Did fuse blow? Yes, likely shorted regulator or safety miswired.

Plug in PTO switch.

Did fuse blow? Yes, likely safety miswired.

My cub cadet LTX 1045 will not start. I parked it the last time I used it and it ran fine. Engine turns over, gas in the carb; but no spark. Safety switches all look ok. Oil level is fine.

Brake switch
PTO switch
Seat switch
RCM / reverse switch

Could be any of the above.

Troubleshoot by checking continuity from the M (magneto) pole of the ignition switch to ground. It should be open (no continuity from M pole to ground.

Methodically disconnect switches until M pole to ground shows open. Then test suspected switch.

A DMM or an inexpensive auto circuit lamp tester will do.

I have a cub cadet ltx 1045, it was running fine, I got off to move some items and when I got back on it would not crank. Could it be the seat safety switch or maybe the solenoid went bad

The LTX1045 engine start (crank) circuit requires PTO switch OFF, Brake ON, and ignition switch to Start position.

Check battery is 12.3 VDC or greater and fuse is good. Release and reapply break, cycle PTO ON/OFF and try again.

M60 cub cadet zero turn. What causes it to shut off?

There is also a safety switch for each of control arms, they both have to be in the neutral position. You may have to adjust the arms.
Are you checking the resistance at the switches?

I have a zForce with a 23 HP Kohler and 50" deck When I start the mower all is fine until I release the parking break and the motor dies. Anyone got an answer

Make sure your foot is on the clutch pedal. If that is not the problem check the safety switch on the parking brake. Good Luck...
