Samsung HL-S6187W 61 in. HDTV Logo
Anonymous Posted on Apr 14, 2011

I cleaned out my Samsung hl-s6187w and put everything back together and now it doesn't turn on. It makes a beeping noise like fast morse code and keeps cycling the power trying to turn on. The ballast gets about 270v from the power board, but the lamp never comes on. Could it be the ballast or the dmd board causing the problem? I can hear the color wheel spool up, but the beeping isn't consistent to be the color wheel.

Samsung HL-S6187W no picture, no sound, no start up jingle... Lamp is on, can hear color wheel turning. Already tried new lamp, new dmd chip, and new dmd board... Now what?

I have had issues where the digital board and also the analog board have been known to cause weird symptoms like that. Did the picture ever freeze any time before this isuue appear?

No picture, replaced lamp on HL-S6187W. TV makes a audio sound when I turn it on. Lamp does not light.

Did you replace the lamp? Was the Lamp original? Some time if you dont replace the lamp with original you are going to have this issue. Is there any sound. If you have sound and no picture is the Color Wheel.

Thank you,
