The alarm shouldn't require any programming to function.

Do i need a bypass module in installing performance teknique 2 way alarm system w/ remote in my 2008 mazda 3

Yes, to do a remote start properly, a bypass module will be needed. The less expensive ones will require you to lose a key. The better one will program to your car using 2 existing working keys. Many online retailers sell them. Look for Fortin, Idatalink, etc.

Sound like the siren. check the connections at the siren. If the connections are good and the system is sending a signal then, you may need to replace it.

Icbm-7071 performance teknique alarm remote starter wont work

what type of vehicle and year is it in? Also, most remote start alarms have a neutral safety wire that needs to be grounded and a hood-pin wire that needs to be connected. If the start system was working and has since failed, it is pointing at the hood-pin wire. If it never started remotely, then you may look to the programming on the alarm. Make sure that the tachometer wire is connected and that the tach setting has been programmed. This should take care of it. If not, I would recommend visiting a local stereo shop to have them diagnose what is wrong with the system.
