Car won't start, battery dead. manual and battery locked in trunk. I know to use manual key to unlock but where is the hot point under the hood to hook up battery charger on a 2005 s430? Also, are there settings suhc as 6v or 12 v to put the charger on? I am no mechanic.

Call someone in service dept at a mbz dealership. They can input your cars vin number and tell you if that car has battery connections under the hood. My 2000 s430 doesnt have any under the hood.

Dead battery so trunk won't open

You should have a trunk lock cylinder in the trunk lid. Look to the right side of the license l plate by the license plate light and you will see a black plastic cover. Remove the cover to expose the lock cylinder then use your key.

My 2007 chevrolet equinox has a dead battery and all doors and back trunk are lock, how can i open the hood to charge the battery to unlock the doors and trunk

If you can't unlock the door with a key, you may be able to go under the car and connect a jumper cable to the starter wire like you would to the battery.

2006 Jaguar XJ8. Battery dead. Cannot access trunk with push button, button on dash or key. Is there an alternative method of jump-starting the vehicle?

Owner's manual should show method of using key to open trunk in this situation. On some, you turn key as far as it will go, then manually operate latch and key will turn further and unlock trunk. No manual latch? Should be a way under hood to supply power from jumper cables.

1996 jag xjs , the battery is dead , I need to jump start it but the trunk won't open ,battery in the trunk , can it be jumped from under the hood ? and why won't the trunk open even with a key ?

The trunk latch is operated by a solenoid which it requires power to operate. since the batery is flat then it won't work. I'm not sure where the positive terminal is under the hood but you can connect the positive lead to the alternator wire terminal, and the negative lead can be connected any where on the engine.
Good luck......

Need to open trunk, battery dead and no mechanical key. 2001 Mercedes S-class.

I am hoping you don't have the doors locked.
Open the hood and there will be a HOT point (jump station) under the hood. It will usually be housed in red plastic. Jump start it there and all should be a go from there.
Good luck!

The battery is dead on my 1997 S500 Mercedes. HELP!!!! I can't charge the battery unless I can get into the trunk. The trunk won't open. Evidently trunk is automatic based on a charged battery. Any...

Look under your hood, you will find contact points for jump starting. If you have a battery charger, you can connect it to those jumper points, and that will give you enough juice to operate the trunk lock.
