We have a Xerox DocuColor 5000. After a break in, someone stole our Dell OptiPlex 745 that sits on the machine. We still have the Fiery server. It does not look like the Dell has anything more than a computer I can buy locally, and my tech said he has access to the software to install. Is this pc something that can be replaced with another pc or is there something other than the GUI needed to make it run correctly? PLEASE HELP!! We are going to be down for over 3 weeks waiting for the new pc thru Xerox.

There is no 1 part that deals with this issue i'm afraid. The copy from the glass uses all the boards in the same path that a print uses. It definately rules out the machine fault. I would guess that the machine isn't set up properly to receive these fierys. Just make sure all connections are secure, if not try other cables.

check ur fiery card that connect to copier
remove card clean any dust at the pins / slot lines then try

yes it needs one printer cable and one scanner cable connected between fiery and machine

and scangear software install and remote compputer
