Phil the red means battery is low and the green is a speed limit code because of the low battery if you have charged your batteries and you still get the red then you need to check the charger after charging all night does the yellow light on the charger turn green? if when you first plug in the charger if the red light is on and the other light is green then there is a problem with the wiring or connection to the batteries from the charger and you aren't charging the batteries. if when you plug the charger in and you get a red and yellow light then the charger is working but you don't ever ge a green light and the battery level gauge is still showing red then you need to replace the batteries Hope this helps

I contacted Invacare Technical support today 800-832-4707 and the rep told me that 1 red light and 3 green means one of the motors is disengaged. One lever should be in the up position and one lever should be in the down position and the wheels should not roll freely when off. Hope this helps someone else.

Hello! I have a M51 Invacare Pronto that is not working. When I turn it on, the service light flashes eight times, one red battery light flashes as well, but nothing happens when I move the joystick.

If it flashes 7 green and one red for the 8 total then it's a joystick error. If it's 8 green and one red then it is a control/brain error code. Measure voltage on batteries when turn chair on. Both batteries need to stay above 11.5 volts each.

What if the speed LEDs on the VR2/VSI begin to flash?

  • Determine if the battery charger is connected to the power base. When the battery charger is connected to the power base, a charger inhibit feature keeps the power chair from driving. This is indicated by the VR2/VSI speed
    LED(s) flashing.
  • Determine if the charger harness fuse has blown. A blown charger fuse can cause the charger inhibit to
    activate.
  • Determine if all controller connections are plugged into the power base properly. If the 3-pin charger
inhibit connector is not plugged in properly, then the charger inhibit feature will activate.

What does 1 red flash followed by 5 green flashes mean on a Pronto M6

1 red + 5 green is left parking brake fault. This is a pretty generic code and can be something as simple as the brake/clutch lever is in free-wheel, or it can mean something more significantly wrong, depending on how it is wired in this model. (We don't work with Prontos a lot here.)

I have a pronto 2003 chair when charging batteries it we no move even if i charge is all nigh when i trurn joystick on it flashing one red llight an 5 green lighs what is the oproble

The error code means one of three things. First it could mean the batteries did not charge up at all. Next is unlikely ,but it also means too high of a charge voltage. The code also comes on when the charger is plugged in to charge and you turn the joystick on. The chair protects itself from driving off with the charger cable plugged into the wall outlet. One more possibility exists, the onboard charger could be bad and bad batteries. You need to have a trained electronic tech check this out.

I have a Invacare Pronto M6 powerchair that is not working. I've charged the batteries with an external charger. The power lite is flashing red once, then green 3 times. Any help would be appreciated. ...

Marilyn Not having worked on many M6 chairs in a long time I would venture that you have a left motor error indicated by the 3 flashes however since you don't have a indication of full power you might have a battery problem because a low battery can cause the chair to flash also. If you can get someone with a digital voltmeter to measure the voltage at the charger port on the joystick it will let you elimitate the batteries as the problem. Place the voltmeter to 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the two outter holes in the charger port the reading should be 24-27+ volts if the batteries are fully charged. If you are not getting anything or a very low reading then that could be the problem. Replace both batteries with U1 batteries. After yo replace the batteries and charge them before use then turn the chair on and see if you are getting the smae flashes If you are then I suspect it is the left motor and it will need to be replaced,\. Hope this helps you

I have a Pronto M6 wheelchair that is not working. I called technical support and they suggested it needed new batteries and that the batteries should be replaced yearly. I installed the new batteries...

Make sure all of your connections are tights and the your fuses do not need to be replaced.

Blinking lights on the controller usually indicates a problem, the number of blinking lights are used to diagnose the problem. Take a look at this website to identify the type of controller you have on your scooter so you can dtermine what the blinking lights are trying to indicate.

Pronto m61 sure step Unit stopped and on power backup would give 9 flashes as error code. Powered off and back on and all was normal again. It's done this 3-4 times it's last 2 weekes. Then the last...

ceejay a 9 flash error code usually means a brake fault. But a brake fault will not cause the chair not to power up. Check all your connections especially where the cable comes out the back of the joystick and where that same cable plugs into the cable to the controller. Sometimes the switch on the joystick fails to make good contact with the circuit board in the joystick and you can try pushing it in different spots to see if will come on. Also check the circuit breaker to make sure it hasn't tripped. If you have a digital voltmeter you can set it on 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the two outter holes on the charger port located under the front of the joystick. You should be reading the battery voltage and fully charged get 25-27 volts. If you don't get any reading then there is a problem in the cable or joystick or power from the batteries. You didn't say if Medicare paid for your chair. If they did they will pay for most of the repair costs. If they did you can contact Repair Xpress @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 to have a tech come out to check your chair. Hope this helps you

One red light three green flash when turned on

Your chair has a motor problem. The code does not tell which side it is. Make sure both motors have the brakes in the drive position before turning on the chair. Also check that both motors are plugged into the main control module in the base of the chair.
