I have a Technics Double Cassette Deck RS-TR212. On the rear it has Output and Input connections. Output goes off to the Amplifier. Can the Input be used to record or play from a record Turntable? I have connected up a playing Pioneer Turntable to the input expecting to hear music being played via the Cassette Deck, but nothing occurs. I t does not even register on the indication meter on the front of the Cassette Deck, Any clues?

Your receiver has (or should have) input and output connections,, your turntable needs to be hooked to the receiver,, then with the output cables that feed your cassette player you need to go, in to out and out to in ( receiver output to the input of the tape player, and out of the tape player to the in on the receiver, while playing a record if you hit record on the tape player it will record the record, depending on the receiver it will show you the meter readings for either the in or out,, they vary

How do I hook up a rsb11w dual tape deck to a technics sa450 receiver

Hi! This is normally relatively easy. You just connect the tuner output to the line input of the deck. Normally this is done with the amplifier where the tuner go to the tuner and the tape deck to its connections just line out to the cassette input and the cassette line out to the tape input of the amplifier

Need to find user manual. I have a problem in recording a tape. I put in deck1 --- cassette to be recorded in deck2 new cassette start play on deck1 ... turn on record and play in deck2 as...

for a start your title says "Problem with the Technics RS-TR272 Single Cassette Deck"
So is it a single or double?
i'm assuming it's a double,right only one of the decks records so put the blank tape into it make sure the tabs on the top of the tape haven't been broke or you'll need to cover the holes with the labels you get with the tape.
put the tape with the music on it, in the other deck rewind them both then press "sync rec" & they should both set off.

Connect the output of the Tape Deck to the Tape Input on the amp.
Connect the input of the Tape Deck to the Tape Output on the amp.

Select Tuner on the amp to listen to the tuner.
Select tape Monitor to hear the Tape Deck(s).

How to connect phono leads

  1. Step 1 Check the back of your Stereo for recording input(in) and output (out), your cassette deck may be plugged into these jacks.
  2. Step 2 Connect the RCA/Phono wires to your equalizer's input and output jacks on the back.
  3. Step 3 If your cassette deck or some other component is plugged into the recording jacks in the back of your amplifier, unplug it and plug it into the back of the equalizer under monitor jacks. Be sure that the "out" from the cassette deck goes to the "in" of the equalizer.
  4. Step 4 Now, take the wires from the equalizer and plug them into the amplifier in the same manner: "in" to "out" and visa versa.
  5. Step 5 Once all your wires are connected be sure the "tape monitor button" on the amplifier is on. Turning it off will disable the equalizer. You can still monitor your recording devise or cassette deck by the "monitor switch" on the equalizer.

Power to technics rs-t24 dual deck

I own a RS-T24 as well and stumbled upon this thread while searching for this exact same solution. The RS-T24 generates no power on its own. It gets its power from, in my case, the SU-V75 amplifier. I still have a working SU-V75 and got the following readings out of the plug-in for the RS-T24 on the amp:

Left = pin 1 - (white wire)
Middle = pin 2
Right = pin 3

1-2 = 11.5 vac
1-3 = 23.0 vac
2-3 = 11.5 vac
