I'm not sure what you are plugging this into, or through what type of connection; but if it is plugged into VGA make sure none of the pins are bent on either side of the cord, also make sure it is set to pick up the signal from the right input. If you need anymore assistance with this please let me know.

Planar PX2710MW frequency out-of-range

After a computer reboot, about 8 out of 10 times the monitor would display a blue "frequency out of range" message. It would take several power off/on cycles for the monitor to finally display Microsoft Windows.

I called Planar tech support. They were super-nice. After about 15 minutes in which I shared my screen with them, the tech suggested I go into thePX2710MW's main menu (i.e. "Button 1") and then click "memory recall".

Problem solved! Wow.

Monitor keeps going into sleep mode

try a different monitor / tv (some have pc hookups) and see if it really is your monitor or your PC not providing a signal

My screen is saying burn in and keep switching colours all the time.(white,red,green,blue.

You may need to send in unit for service because your unit is unable to go to sleep mode when the signal cable is disconnected or the PC is turned off. Please call ViewSonic Customer Care for support.

Although this will not hurt the monitor, you just need to apply an active video signal to get a display correctly. However, it will not work as expected to go into sleep mode. You'll need to call ViewSonic Customer Care to get this taken care of.
