I think this phone is garbage,, y ou can't get a user manual for this product,, wait until I tell all my friends, and then all my friends on Facebook.. I will talk everyone into not getting your product or service.

There is not much of a more user friendly scanner. Maybe a local Radio Shack or similar store would program for you if you tell them what you want in there.

What do you mean by "recognizes old phone number"? If the previous phone number has been entered as "own number" somewhere it will be stored until changed manually, but this is used for convenience only, the phone operates on the number from the SIM card...
Best idea is to do a factory reset if you got it from a friend, this way you'll get rid of any old garbage and settings.

Don't think you would destroy the seal if you are careful. Sure you could get a spare if you did from their answerline at top of manual.

The solution to your problem is to avoid Garmin. Sorry, but that\'s the truth. My GPS 60 has the same problem. My rocker switch does not change the contrast setting. Nothing helps. This GPS is garbage - I can\'t even read it in low-level room light, let alone outdoors. I already bought a Nuvi car GPS by Garmin and nobody will steal it even though I leave my door unlocked! That tells you something about Garmin. My Dad bought me this hand-held (probably got it at a flea market), so now I have two pieces of garbage. I have owned GPS\'s by other companies, and Garmin sucks. Problem is, people with NO clue about GPS functionality and user-friendliness "like" Garmin because it is one of the few if only GPS products they\'ve ever tried. I even once heard some old folks in a diner telling their friends how terribly their GPS worked. It gave them poor route selection, poor interactive menus, and the maps were wrong. Then, after all that, they say they highly recommend their suckticular* product because a GPS can be so helpful at times. Never mind that other people make GPS units and they could be better, this couple recommends the one they just lambasted. At the end of the conversation, the friends asked who made it. The couple said, "Garmin" That is the level of stupidity of the consumer. A product can ****, but the consumer will recommend it just so they can sound knowledgeable or useful.

Several ways to get a user manual for your phone.. One would be go to your carriers website. Look under support and look your phone up. Alot of companies will have every phone they carry and all thier user manuals to those phones in thier websites.
