The Main IR Light. (the one used for long distance) has stopped working. I'm sure the led light is not working. Any suggestion on where I could get a replacement LED or who could fix it in the Nashville Tn. Area. Thank you. Hutch

Here we go. Take it to electronic repair facilities. See if the can replace the LED IR. Now if they want. Call Yukon NV Optics and see what the charge, normally these companies have flate fee they will charge. They really don't make it easy for the owner to repair these NV binocular. Basically, the binocular will almost be totally taken a part. stewbison

How do I reset my remote for my Yamaha natural sound AV receiver RX V 371 the remote just stopped working one day it has fresh batteries still no response between receiver and remotethough the light is...

By your description of "light is flashing on the remote" I will assume the "function" LED on the actual remote, as the infrared (IR) LED light spectrum used to communicate with the receiver is invisible to the human eye. Let's try "simple" first. Is there something blocking the IR pickup device on the front of the RX-V371 receiver? It may be difficult to locate the pickup window and-so make sure the entire front of receiver is unobstructed. Also, IR remotes are a "line-of-sight" type device and must have an unobstructed view of the device being controlled.

My Maestro IR remote no longer works after 10 years

The infrared (IR) LED / remote may have stopped working. Since it emits IR light when used, you won't be able to actually see the light with the ***** eye. This makes it difficult, but not impossible to determine if the LED / remote is working or not. You can see if it works by pointing it a night time security camera - the type that has it's own built in IR LEDs to light up the area and does not need visible light to shine on the area (some video cameras can also "see" this light when playing back video taken of an active IR light source). Either record or have someone watch the display while pressing a button on the remote and aiming at the camera. You should be able to do this in broad daylight it will look like a flashlight shining into the camera.

If the LED in the remote is proved to be functioning, the IR receiver in the switch, or some other internal part of the switch may have failed. Since the receiver doesn't light up - there's no way to determine if this is the case without actually replacing the switch. It doesn't matter really, as there are no user replaceable parts in the switch - it either works, or it doesn't.

Ultimately, the best way to troubleshoot will be by replacing components with known good types. Use a battery that tests "good" on a tester, in a new or known to be good remote, used on a new or known to be good switch. You'd would deal with the situation by swapping only ONE component at a time. Once you change the device that allows to circuit to work, replace the new components with the old - except to last one; as this was likely the component that caused the failure.

Try taking the remote to a Home Depot, Lowe's or other similar store with a display of these switches. Do what you need to do to your remote to see if you can control any of the switches/ lights.

Good luck!

I need a I/R setup for these binos...do you have pr can you tell me where i can get one...thanks

Hello, contact Night Vision Optics they should be able to get you one. You can make your own by using an head light. Get an IR bulb, or change the lens to IR lens. If you want to high tech then get head light will IR LED's. If the white LED's are used don't use IR lens over this white LED's because of the light spectrum is different for the the LED's than incandescent light. They will have to be changed IR LED's..GB...stewbison

My remote stopped working with my television. all I need is a manual that I cannot find. for CL007 remote

Remotes are pretty simple things to fix. a few problems, tests and fixes.
1) test remote closer to device - if it works then replace batteries.
2) If some buttons fail to work that used to work - disassemble and clean muck off board and rubber contact pad.
3) remote will not work at all at any distance - use camera on phone to see IR led operation when pushing buttons on remote - could be batteries, IR led failure or ceramic resonator failure - you need test equipment to faultfind.

The only parts that tend to fail on a remote are batteries, IR LED, Ceramic resonator, and dirty/wet board/rubber contact pads

My 880 only works from about 3 feet away but used to work fine from across the room. The battery is new and charged and I have updated the firmware and the settings. It works fine up close but not at...

you need to return it. one of the IR led only works. I had that, had to return (RMA) the unit. you can check with some camcorders to see how bright the LED is (the camcorders often can 'see' the IR led like a white light).
i.e. either the power circuit for the IR LEDs is failing or the IR LED themselves are dead.
there is nothign you can fix on your own. CAll the support and get a replacement unit. or return the remote to a store if you just bought it.

Film speed override?

Press and hold the ISO button on the top left and rotate the command dial on the right until the film speed appears on the display. Release the ISO button and the speed is set.

In case your instructor hasn't told you, IR light is just below visible light on the spectrum and has a longer wavelength. Therefore, IR light will focus behind the film plane for a given setting. I.e., if you preset the lens to focus at 10 feet, the IR light will focus at a shorter distance. Unless your lens has a distance mark for IR, I would limit my shooting to longer distances and smaller f-stops to use the depth-of -field to compensate. When you are in focus for IR, the image in your viewfinder will be out of focus. The closer you are to the subject, the more out of focus the image will appear at the correct focus setting.

I have the same remote as yours and occasionally the RF remote is not working due the interference signal from outside or next door at certain hours.
My suggestions:
(1) To relocate the receiver and reposition the anntena for better reception of the RF signal from the remote unit.
(2) Replaced the battery.

Hope these help!

Remote Control stopped working

Try these simple trick to find out yor remote control working or not....
Point the remote control towards the Camera of a Mobile Camera phone, with the camera on. While pressing remote, we can see a light (Infra Red) coming from its IR LED through the Mobile Camera if the Remote is working.
Otherwise the problem will be with the remote sensor or related components of the device.
