First off what is the brand name and model number?is the freezer cold?if so when you open the freezer door do you hear the fan blowing?all a fridge does is get cold in the freezer and the evap fan blows cold air from the freezer to the fridge side that's it,if you don't hear the fan when you open the freezer you have a bad evap fan motor, but send more info.
that's not the model number, open the fridge door,up on the right hand side near the cieling you should see a tag with the model number or if it's an older machine the number could be down at the bottom hindge on the fridge door, and remove the kickplate to see it.also is the fridge running warm or what's happening to it and how old is it.the more i know the better i can help you.one more thing, open the freezer door, from the bottom up remove the second draw or bin and put your hand on the back wall,is the ice or frost on the back wall?
ok its a JSI 26 its 2 yrs old the freezer seems to be running fine its minus 6
there is a lil frost not much though. it seems there is very little cold air comming to fridge side
i'm sorry but the model number isn't coming up.all a fridge does is the freezer gets cold and an evap fan motor blows cold air from the freezer to the fridge.you siad the fan was blowing in the freezer when you opened the door,i want you to put your hand in the fridge section up top where the cold air blows in,do you feel the air coming in,if not you could have a damper in it and the damper door isn't opening to let the air come in,when the fridge side gets cold enough then the damper door closes,i need the model number to look up your machine to see if there is a damper in there, when you looked at the number did it say model number next to it,also you'll see a serial number there to but i just need the model number,
one more thing if you unplug the machine you have to wait 5 minutes before you plug it back so the compressor can reset
the model # is GLHS66EJWO that is the only one i see... there is very little air coming through the back of the fridge.... it is cooling but, it is taking its time.
that's the correct model number and there is a damper in there part number 241600905 and it's around 60 dollars.when you turn the control to make the fridge colder or warmer the damper door will open wider or close more to adjust to how much cold air enters the fridge from the freezer,if you look at the back left side you'll see the damper door,in your case it's closed not letting cold air in this is the part you need to change.order the part, there should be derctions in it,and change out the damper, should take you around an hour to do,you can unplug the machine when you change it.from what you told me this sounds like your problem.good luck.
thank you for your time and patience
