U should first evacuate ur system down to vacuum bfore adding freon. chances are system is full of air,therefore not allowing full charge to enter ac system. also make sure ur clutch is engaging at the compressor, u can see wen its on and wen its off.

don't know if it makes sense but my 97 park avenue did the same thing. all i did was to pull the system completely down with a vaccum pump and recharged it with freon and it now works
perfectly. like i said it don't really make sense but it worked!!

92 buick park avenue won't blow hot air - temp control seems to be working

Make sure there are no leaks and that the system is full to capacity. After the vehicle has warmed up check radiator hoses for temperature differecial also check heater core hoses. A significant difference in temperature may indicate a plugged heater core or thermostat failure

While ac is on,hot air comes out the driver side vents. the passenger vents blow cold.?

check the freon level, also check to make sure that the a/c vents door are not jammed

Try putting in a.c. leak detector first to pinpoint where the leak is coming from...That can be a costly repair if you take it to a shop especially if you can't find the leak yourself !! Well best of luck..hope this was helpful
