Hello i have a whirlpool model LSR5232LQ1 washer has worked perfect until today water filled up started to wash then it stopped working after wash cycle....will not do anything now except fill with water dont hear timer moving...ty for ur assistance i feel it may be timer gone???

if you washer not filling then your inlet valve need replace are your water level swich may be bad

I would check the switch with an ohm meter or try a new one if you wiggle it & it start to work that's a pretty good sign it's bad.

I also have a Whirlpool top load Model # WtW57ESVW auto sensing load washer. I have it it almost a year and it has started to do exactly the same as described above. The repairman said today that it needed a "auto load sensing switch" which he has ordered for me.

Note - you can use your washer until the problem is fixed, but you have to make sure you manually stop the spin cycle prior to it just finishing, for that is the time period that the water starts to fill again.

I also noted that my local Lowes store does NOT sell this model anymore - probably too many customer complaints about this exact same problem. As soon as I showed the problem to the repairman this AM, he immediately diagnosed the issue - said that it was a recurring issue with this particular model.

I have the f51 code filled up with water and stopped. They are coming today to fix it. Called whirlpool and they are fixing this at their expense. I have the extended warrenty they said they are fixing codes f1 and f51

Try pushing down on lid switch. common problem for these models.

If it is a hot and cold fill washer, yes, then it could be a hot water problem related to the valve, or the water supply., if it is cold fill only, then the problem is elsewhere.

There is a fill switch that is not being triggered. Find out where that is. The dog hair could be the culprit. This switch is but cutting the tank fill. God Bless John

It sounds like the water solenoid has gone bad or stuck closed OR timer/control knob has bad set of contacts which control the solenoid.

will any of the lights come on when you try to turn on a cycle?
