Be sure you always have the hood / vent fan on when using the microwave or the stove top.

Also, there may be a clogged filter. Check that.

Otherwise, I would be concerned that the internal cooling fan may not be working properly.

None of these work. Neff accepts it is a design fault but are not prepared to do anything about it. Solution......never buy Neff

Steam escapes at top of door. Condensation has developed between the glass on the door

There is a small vent hole at the bottom of your oven door that is made to allow you to reach a brush up to clean the glass.. It sounds like your stove seal isn't sealing.

What causes steam in between glass microwave door

Cooking food in there will cause steam as the microwave heats the water content in your food to make it hot. This will mean some escapes and will settle somewhere it can find cooler than the rest of the unit

Steam got inside door of microwave behind glass. Now there are white spots where water dried. How do I clean the inside?

Look and see if there are screws holding the inside of the door to the outside of the door.
If so, remove the screws and the door should come apart, and may be cleaned.
God bless your efforts.

Can you use a microwave if the glass on the door is broken?

It is not advisable. The door is a critical safety part of the microwave oven. The glass being gone will allow heat in areas of the door not designed for heat. The glass also is a support for the safety mesh that contains the microwave energy to the cavity.

My microwave oven is displaying sensor error

On GE models, "SENSOR ERROR" appears on the display when:
  • Using the sensor feature, the door was opened before steam could be detected. Do not open the door until stream is sensed and time is shown counting down on the display.
  • Steam was not detected in the maximum amount of time. Use Time Cook to heat for more time.

Water has penetrated inside the door

Any water in between the glass and the door should evaporate eventually.
I wouldn't advise trying to open any seams in the door or removing the glass to get the water out as that would permanently damage your microwave.

Your models manual talks about steam/water condensation that gets trapped between the door and the glass and what to expect:

Glass front on door unglued

First: do not use this unit with the glass improperly installed. Often, these installations use double sided foam tape, available at any hardware store. Carefully remove the screws in the door being careful to catch the glass. Clean the area where the tape will go with glass cleaner or alcohol. Allow to dry and buff to remove oil and grease. Install the tape and glass. Reassemble.
