Is it all the colors? Make sure the drum shutters open and close when opening and closing the front door. Missing magenta color is common in this machine and other machines like it. The magenta laser scanner mirror sits in the lower part of the printer and face up and toward the front of the printer. Loose toner from printing tends to settle on this mirror. Over time the mirror coats over and the actual laser scanner beam cannot reflect off the mirror with proper intensity, usually resulting in very faded magenta color or no magenta at all. Good luck

Here's a solution from Dell Technical Support hotline - just hit cancel as soon as the pirnter starts the alignment process. It worked for me! You will have to cancel the alignment page every time you turn on your printer, but that's better than no printing at all.

SOURCE: photo 924 keeps saying alignment problem. please remove tape from
""I have the same issue. I replaced both cartridges and ran the alignment test numerous times but kept getting this message. I then unplugged the printer and plugged it back in and it was fixed! You probably already tried this but if not, it worked for me. Good luck!""
try that for about 10 seconds per the manual at ("http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/924/en/om_en/om_en.pdf" if you don't have it)

SOURCE: hp 2605dn Black cartridge is printing 1/8" LEFT of other colors.
That problem is frequently on HP 2600 series.
You must try to change all remanufactured toner cartridges with HP OEM with no exception, the best alignment it is when you change the black cartridge and the printer make a cleaning page process. Cartridge HP OEM should be almoust empty. It Is not necesarry to be a new one. After the alignment process, you can put the remanufacturated cartridges back on.
