My Polaroid a544 camera refuses to cut on. Last week I went to record a video and the camera froze on me while filming my video. Shortly after the camera shut off. I decided to let it rest and put it away. Now when I try to use it, the camera cuts on but the screen doesn't show. I don't think the screen is broken because I had never dropped it or scratched the lens.. Thanks for the help. Shayna Bohannon

Ihave the same problem. Its annoying. When you turn it on does it make a buzzing noise? Cause that's what mine does. Except I never dropped my camera. It just goes to the Polaroid screen and then turns off. I'm wishing I wouldve bought a different camera :( Sorry I can't help..

Hey, I had kind of the same problem; only the lens would not close all the way and could not zoom out all the way. It's my 8 yr old daughter's camera and she must have dropped it or something. I wiggled the lens around a bit (with quite a bit of force) and it popped back into place and is now fine.

I have one last picture (film) left in my Polaroid and every time i close the bottom compartment it just ejects without letting me take the picture.

First of all you can't use that film anymore. If it gets ejected, it gets exposed to light which causes the film to develop. Also the film was already exposed when you didn't load it in the camera yet. When you buy a new cassette (that's the film holder) there's a darkslide on top. This darkslide prevents light to get to the film. When you load your camera, the darkslide ejects immediately. That is what happens to your last film. The camera recognizes it as a new cassette and ejects the darkslide, but in this case it's the film.

Brand new Flip Mino HD froze & now won't turn on. HELP!

return it for a refund! i bought one, it did the same as yours. i returned it and bought the 2nd one. It did the same as the first one (and the same as yours.)

It is a piece of junk. Supposedly the previous Flips were good, unfortunately, I didn't have the previous models so my experiences only are bad.

Just wont polaroid film for the spirt 600cl camer near ng172fu maybe a phone number

Polaroid film has long been discontinued and as of this week every remaining unused pack has passed its expiry date. You will not find any retailers in Sutton-in-Ashfield or anywhere near which sells it any more. There is a company which has just bought the machinery and rights to re-manufacture the film, but if production goes ahead it will not recommence until 2011 at the earliest and it will be an expensive specialist product.

You can still find it on auction websites and also at camera jumbles, but be careful. Old film can have unpredictable colours and contrast, and the camera rollers often fail to squeeze the developing emulsion across the entire photo. To prevent this some retailers will claim to have kept the film refrigerated. Unfortunately Polaroid film has the camera battery built in to it and refrigeration considerably reduces the battery life. This is not a problem if you modify your camera to take an external battery but without the modification your film pack may be useless.

The last few "fresh" 600 film packs I saw were going for around £30 per pack and each pack only gives ten photos.

How do we find battery component on old Polaroid camera...

Each film cartridge contains a new battery. Every time you replace the film, you get a new battery.

Now the bad news...
As of June 2008, Polaroid no longer makes film. The last of what was produced is expiring in 10/2009.

The hopeful news...
Polaroid may be licensing other companies to manufacture film again (after 2009) and another group is hard at work trying to produce a similar film for these cameras (http:\\www.the-impossible-project.com). But don't expect any of this to be available any time soon.

How do u turn the polaroid 600 0n or off?

on all the time- battery is in the film pack, and when you press the shutter it gets all the power from the film pack battery. If the camera doesn't work, it's possible that the battery is dead, even if you have film left. You'll need to try and get the film pack replaced, if the expiration date has not passed. If it has passed your just out of luck.  Since Polaroid made their last run of film forever this last summer,  this camera is probably going to be obsolete soon, so get your film  while you can.

Where can I buy a film pack and paper??????????????????????

Polaroid manufactured their last run of film for that camera this summer,so go on the WEB and search Polaroid 600 film (or ask a a local camera store). If you really like this camera, you might buy some extra, nut you already know about the battery, so don't buy more than you will use before the expiration date. When the film is gone, the camera will be useless, unless someone like Fuji, who makes the film for the camera in Japan, decides to keep making it.
