I want to ask if my Dell laptop Latitude C600 can upgrade to 80GB hard disk? Can I upgrade my graphic card to 128MB? And 1 more how about the proccessor, can I upgrade to pentium 4?
The graphics cards ARE VERY RARE nVidia, not sure if it is for the C600, but typically in the Lat series Cs there are 32, 64, and 128MB options, mainly ATI, and mainly the C640 with Pentium 4. I maybe thinking of the C610 with Tualatin P3 chip, so do a search for 'video' with that model. Typically it's 8MB vid ram ATI RageThe graphics cards ARE VERY RARE nVidia, not sure if it is for the C600, but typically in the Lat series Cs there are 32, 64, and 128MB options, mainly ATI, and mainly the C640 with Pentium 4. Hi. Latitude C600 was introduced in ~2000. 700Mhz CPU was then upgraded to 850Mhz the same year and 1Ghz in 2001. The series was discontinued in 2002. Hope this helps, Raf
You should try to boot it into safe mode and then run a virus scanner you should also be able to run disk check in safe mode. Usually pressing the F12 key during bootup will bring you to the boot menu. You have to watch carefully because the option appears really fast at the beginning of bootup.
NOTE: This system is old enough to be considered operationally obsolete and not a good candidate for an upgrade. Especially with new portables starting at $499
You may be able to change the amount of shared ram allocated to the video card in the laptop's BIOS, but since the card is built into the mainboard, it cannot be upgraded.
