I think what you're actually seeing is an AS error. It's looks like A5 on the LED screen.
AS error means their is a sensor failure. So, before calling Frigidaire Tech Service
(800-444-4944), turn the Master On/Off Switch to OFF. Unplug the unit for 12 - 15 minutes.
This should give the unit ample time to reset itself. Plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/Off Switch to ON. Now, set your controls as you normally do. If the unit starts up and runs as it should, the problem for now is solved. If it keeps re-occurring, contact Frigidaire Tech Service.

AS is a Humidity Sensor error for my model #MDCDP-30AEN1-BA9. Says so in the manual. I'm going to test it through arduino to see if I can get a reading from the old one. I think I have a few of those kicking around in my parts bins. Always worth a try :D

What is A5 on our frididare dehumidifier?

Hello Friend, this is Z. I am happy to assist you!

If you are receiving an error code AS on your Frigidaire dehumidifier, it typically means that your dehumidifier is experiencing a sensor failure. Because it is a smaller appliance, repairs are often more costly than the actual appliance replacement. Is your appliance still in warranty? If so, you might want to reach out directly to the manufacturer to determine the coverage on your dehumidifier and the procedures to any potential remedy in that regard. Best of luck!

Displaying "A5"

Do you mean error code AS instead of A5? If so, error code AS commonly refers to a sensor issue. Because it is a smaller appliance, repairs are often more costly than the actual unit replacement. You may want to check and see if your dehumidifier is still under warranty and if so, reach out to the manufacturer to determine the exact warranty coverage.

Error code 67

Error code 67 is an airflow problem. Either clogged filter or bad blower motor. Unplug unit remove bucket and feel for filter in front behind cover it drops down. Clean filter with water and reinsert. Plug unit in turn to "on", fan should begin to run, after 3-5 minutes compressor should start. If fan does not start it is bad and should be replaced.

Fan will not come on.

The fan has to run if the compressor is running as the fan assists in removing the heat from the condenser coil. Can you spin the fan by hand? If there is full power(120 volts) to the fan and it isn't running then the fan motor is bad. Also, if the fan motor has a run capacitor this could keep the fan from running(if the capacitor is defective) so look for this first.

Motor runs fan does not

you may have a stripped out fan unit, the fan motor runs, but the fan does not spin? my fan was plastic and stripped out there should be a flat spot the lines up with shafton motor ifit is round your should replace fan blade unit. i could not find one so i pushed tooth picks in between shaft an fan and glued them has worked for a couple months now

Danby ddr401 dehumidifier reading 'E2' error code on screen.

Check the wiring that runs below the fan for nicks and cuts. I had this error code and was in the process of junking my dehumidifier when I noticed the wiring going from the capacitor to the compressor and a few other wires had somehow been chaffed and cut by the fan blade. I had already thrown the control panel away by this time so I don't know if replacing those wires would have cleared the code or not.
