Dear Karen,
If you have a standard cell phone, the problem is likely your volume button.
The volume button controls the ringer loudness, and the same volume controls all of your calls incoming.
If your ring tone is loud, probably your volume is turned down for you to hear.
The same button controls both functions.
To change it, next time someone calls you, try pressing the volume button to "louder" WHILE they are talking to you.
God bless your efforts.

3. Press the MODE button again, the minute digits blink.
4. To set minute, turn the VOLUME wheel to obtain a desired value.
Set 12/24 Hour format
5. Press the MODE button repeatedly to enter 12/24 hour format setting mode, "H12" appears and flashing.
6. To select H12 (12Hour) or H24 (24 Hour) format, rotate the VOLUME wheel.
Exit setting mode

If the ringout volume is very low, then try not to select a soft, silent or low ringing tone. Try to choose a ringing tone that is loud so that you can hear your phone ringout. Hope that was helpful?

Just try the following. One amoung these process will surely unlock your TV. After unloking you have to reset the V-Chip.
Most RCA and GE TV sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The code reset is different depending on the model. Try each number until you find the one that works for you.
Hold down the MENU button on the remote and VOLUME DOWN button on the TV it's self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked
Hold down the 0 (zero) button on the remote and the VOLUME DOWN button on the TV itself at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked
Hold down the MENU button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. 4- Hold down GO BACK button on the remote and MENU button on the front of the TV at the same time for at least 4 seconds.
Hold down EJECT button on the front of the TV set and the MENU button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Depending on the model, one of the methods should unlock the V-chip. Now, if desired, you can change the settings on the V-chip by going to the MENU and going to PARENTAL CONTROLS, or on some sets, going to MENU and then going to TV SETUP, then to V-CHIP SET.
There is a setting to adjust the fax volume. Press the User Tools button on the operation panel, and then on the touch screen press either Fax Features or Fax Settings, and then under the first tab (I think it's General Settings) there should be an option for volume adjustment. You can either turn the volume down or you can turn it all the way off.
i went to settings, then My shortcuts and changed the left selection key to Volume. Then i exited out the main menu, selected Volume, then set it to Maximum. Theni went back and set it to Alarm like before.
