My MAAX jacuzzi runs on its own. After it is shut off and then turned on again, it is hard to shut off. And then in about 10 - 20 minutes (it varies) it will start up by itself, even without water in the tub. I have to press the shut off button several times to get it to stop.

They give no clues, but other makes use similar codes and it is sensors showing behavior not within specs.

Sounds like you may have a circuit that is bad in the control box under the tub.
Very unusual for that type of issue unless there is a problem on the circuitry.
Call a technician to have them trouble shoot it for you. It may need to be replaced. Those are not usually an item that is fixed.

get it checked by electrician. there has to be an access panel.

Some air jet bubbler blowers are designed to run for 5 to 10 minutes after you drain the tub to push all of the water out of the air channels. It should shut off on its own once it senses all of the water has been blown out. If it continues to run much longer than that, then contact the mfg for a service call. You have a warranty if it is a recent purchase that should cover it. Hope this helps!

air systems have a built in timer on them. 20 mins.
they are supposed to be shut off for 20 mins to cool the blower down then can be turned on again.

A company called Maax bought Pearl. They are out of Canada, It would be the first place I would check, they have a website Maax.com

you have a bad motor - when a motor overheats there is a sensor inside the motor that will shut if down so as to not damage the windings and such. once your tub has cooled down for 10 mins or so it will turn back on. the fact that you can push the button multiple times just means that you are turning the air switch on the back of the motor on/off until you get to the point where the motor has cooled down and will turn back on. if you do not push the air button after the tub shuts down and you finish your bath then when the pump cools down it will come back on because the air switch in the motor is latching i.e. it is either on or off. Since you left it in the on position the motor will come back on once the motor has cooled down.

It all depends on the manufacture, Jacuzzi, Aquatic, Maax. They all have different warranties and what is covered. Best to call or e-mail the manufacturer of the tub with the date of pruchase and serial number.

you have to call the maker of your unit because the gasket can start leaking if you use the rong kind of cleaner
