Recently we replaced the bulb in our LG 52SX4D-UB. Once the bulb was installed we reset the hours for bulb according to the instructions that we reviewed on-line. Once the power button is pushed on the remote the tv goes through its dianogistics cycle and the tv comes on. The tv then will shut itself off and the bulb indicator blinks 10 times. (Once you hit the power button on the remote the tv will be on for about 110 seconds before it turns itself off.) Any ideas or suggestions on what the problem might be.

Check for bad capacitors in the power supply section. Sites like www.TvRepairKits.com have power supply repair kits if needed,

Sounds like the same problem I had when I picked up my LG 52SZ8R. After replacing the lamp the TV ran fine.

Easiest way to see if the lamp is the problem is to take it out, and look at the peice of wire in the globe as you would an old light globe.

They should be able to give you a quote and part number, if you don't like their quote you can always use the part number to search for one thats cheaper.

You have a bad mainboard.

They are available at http://www.encompass.com and are not that difficult to replace. This is a common problem with the LG units and don't be surprised if it takes a while to get a board.

Try unplug,replug an hour later will reset it.But what was the problem,before u change the bulb.

Press and hold ENTER or OK on front of the TV and press MUTE on remote at the same time for 5 to 10 seconds. The lamp reset box will pop up you can then reset lamp timer.

My Lg 52"tv turn off and on

This set uses a lamp and a bad lamp will cause this symptom. You should be able to get the lamp out yourself and get a part # off it.

If the red light scrolls through, you need to replace the bulb. I replaced the my own bulb, and when I tried to turn on the tv the light kept scrolling. What was wrong? I DIDNT FULLY REASSEMBLE THE TV AFTER REPLACING THE BULB.

Make sure that all the screws are put back in and it will probably work if you have replaced the bulb.
