I need a solution for talkswitch pbx 480 working with tg-1061 cordless panasonic to access the call waiting and program the hold music .when there is a call wait button on panasonic or flash , I can use it to hold the caller and transfer him to another ext but I cannot pick up a call waiting from outside caller and I need to know how to do that ,by programming or hitting any button.thanks .

SOURCE: caller id not working

US phones use Bellcore FSK caller id. India uses DTMF caller id. Buy a DTMF- FSK converter at a telecom shop.

You are using the wrong option for transfer -- the one you are using is a conference which requires the person transferring the call to stay on the line. You need the option which permits a blind transfer or announced transfer. This issue is specifically discussed in the manual.

Call Talkswitch, they will offer a swap for another system and bill you $500 to do so. This happened to me twice. First swap was $250. A year later it is now $500. I was told this increase was due the end of the system life and a shortage on parts. My system is just about 4 years old. My next system will have telephone line surge supperssors inline with the telephone lines.

Go to Telephone Lines.
Under each incoming line make sure that Caller ID is checked.
Click File> Save
Hopefully this will fix it for you.

This is not possible, the call waiting tone indicates another call on the line in use which can be accessed by pressing flash, which places the first call on hold, both calls cannot be connected at the same time.

Need to restore a talkswitch ct .ts001.1 to factory settings

Provided you still have access with the Management Software.
Click on Tools>Defaults>Entire Configuration and follow the prompts.

On hold device

Start by looking at the system. It's pretty tough to miss the two jacks labeled MUSIC and PA.

They take a 1/8" (3.5mm) mono jack, so you can come out of your MOH device with an RCA to 1/8" or 1/8" to 1/8" cord. Your local Rat Shack should have the cables.

Answering machine not working

Open your TalkSwitch Management Software.
Go to Local Extensions/Fax
Select the extension you are using for the fax.
Click on additional settings under the activate extensions section
On the direct Line Access Tab put a check mark in the check box for "Use Direct Line Access on:" Select your Hunt Group or the number you have to dial to get an outside line.
This will force this extension to not have to dial 9 or whatever number to get an outside line for dialing out.
