Drainage problems can be caused by:
a) Blocked Filter chamber
b) Blocked Sump
c) Blocked Drain Pipe

d) Blocked waste pipe
e) Failed Pump

You can check the sump and drain pipe are not blocked by disconnecting the drain pipe from the undersink trap or waste pipe and lowering to a bowl on the floor. The water should drain out into this bowl under gravity if there are no blockages. Bear in mind if you have disconnected the drain pipe from an undersink pipe if youpour the drained water down the sink it will flood into your undersink cupboard. If this drains then you check the waste pipe or undersink trap is clear. You should also check the filter chamber if it is accessible on your washing machine (not all are). I would recommend you unplug the machine or take the fuse out of the switched socket before doing this. Drain the drum as above before doing this or you will get a gush of water coming out. You will usually have to remove a cover from the bottom of your machine to get to the filter chamber and twist it ant-clockwise to unscrew it. Check for any coins buttons etc trapped in there. If there is nothing there check the impeller will turn relatively easily by hand. If you still can't find the problem you might have a faield pump and I would recommend contacting an enginee

I have an Indesit WIXL123 washing machine that wont drain! Have checked all pipes, no blockage, have replaced pump but it still refuses to work! Any ideas?

Since I have never physically worked on a Indesit, I can only tell you what a normal washing machince diagnosis would be: Drain pump is not functioning. Possibly something clogging the intake (count you socks) or just stopped working.

My supplier does not have Indesit parts so can't give you the part number for the drain pump.

Hi I have no power to my WIXL123 washing machine. I replaced 13A fuse - still no good. checked the power socket - works fine. what part could be faulty?

ds nanra, you need to look first at where the power cord enters the washing machine. It then connects to the terminal block on the inside. There is where you need to check for loose/burnt connections. If you have the means (a voltohm meter or continuity tester) you could check the power cord itself for continuity, which would mean that the cord is fine if it has continuity. This is the first place you need to check. Other than a visual check for obvious defects on the power cords connections inside the washer, you would have to test it with a meter for definitive results.
If you have any other questions, dont hesitate. I would be happy to help you out further.
thanks,
mike

Theres no power to my idesit wixl123

From what you wrote I can only hint that a fuse within a machine must have played its part for some reason so you better not mess with it. Call a repairman.
