Nokia E 71 Menu hangs...willnot allow to do anything have to restart it !!

After inserting the sim card it goes restart and ask for changing the profile from offline,when i try to change the profile from offline to others it hang and restarts showing the offline while sim inserted!tried with different sim but no use.

AAAAggghhhhh - the N72 family - great phones - good camera - BUT - Nokia had a software problem with them.
If it's the same as mine - the phone will hang for a while and just show the white screen with Nokia name. Then just turn off on it's own.
I went into (www.nokia.co.uk) and found a software patch that worked for a while - then went to a Nokia repair shop - they had a disk with new software - charged me £10 and it has worked ever since.

my nokia n97mini hangs many times.. even after i give 4 times it in nokia care... when short missed call comes screen hangs and need to restart and also some times cell switch of automaticaly and need to open battery and then it can switch on...
please solve my this problem. i really need solution argent. please.

do a format. save all data you need to save including your contacts. you may save to a memory card. then enter *#7370# . if prompted for security code, enter 12345( if you changed it enter the one you changed it to). press ok and let the phone restart.

On your E71, go to Menu - Tools - Settings - General - Personalization - Home screen - Key shortcut

An alternate method for wiping the N79:
Go here: Menu >> Settings >> General >> Factory settings and follow instructions.

nokia n72 has a slow operating system which gets even slower if the battery is low and thw problems are doubled if the memory is near full. Sometimes unsupported applications hang on it which can only be stopped by removing the battery and restarting the phone.Restarting may take a lot of time but have patience and once the phone restarts delete the application which caused the hanging. An advice is to keep the memory card half empty.

Please follow these simple step.

Step 1. Go to Menu > Installation > App. Mgr.

Step 2. You can remove the yahoo go application from there.
