BLUE - Olympia InfoGlobe Digital Caller ID Unit

My globe has been working just fine until a couple of days ago. I accidently dropped my alarm (which fell on the cords behind the globe) unit and now my globe is blank. I've checked the cord connections & they appear to be fine. Any suggestions?

I had three lines of LEDs go out, they faded slowly so I suspect the brush contacts. I'm trying to get it apart now. Will post if I am successful.

Light flickering on infoglobe

When it is flickering, can you still read it? Mine didn't flicker. Maybe it just needs new batteries. I did find that mine had trouble working once I switched over to AT&T Uverse internet/phone service.

My infor globe does not show the i d caller

for most problews, including caller id, follow these instructions in order:

Put the battery into the battery compartment and connect to the
connectors inside the battery compartment.
Connect the power adapter and telephone cord into matching jacks on the under side
of the base.
Plug the power adapter into the electrical outlet. Plug the telephone cord into the
telephone socket.

my caller id was not working, but everything else was. I followed the instructions above EXACTLY IN ORDER and the caller id is now working.

Select button does not work on olympia globe caller id

You are possibly in the demonstrate mode. If that is the case, press and hold the right key for a few seconds.

Olympia, and/or Sharper Image infoglobe. Need fix.

It appears that you have already removed the 4 screws. The globe will not just fall off, it has to be pried. Take a small- bladed screwdriver or a small-bladed pocket knife and gently pry from any small opening you see between the globe and its base. Work the blade around the globe and it will come off. I just did it and now I'm trying to figure out how to get inside the "guts" of the globe. Will keep you advised.
