The machine can be in error mode. In this case one or more lights in the control pad will stay on or flash and the cycle will not start.
One of the most common fault in your situation, and at start of the cycle is no water inlet. In that case you will need to check the water inlet hose at the back of the appliance.
Do not move the appliance yet.
First try disconnecting power by tripping the circuit breaker for few minutes, then re-program the cycle.
If that does not fix the problem, then try telling me the exact model number of the appliance, and describe exactly what lights come on the control panel when cycle does not start.
Alternatively contact Zanussi at the number listed on the user manual. The operator will guide you through a diagnostic, and then will decide if there is need for a technician or not. The machine is still covered with warranty. See:
