Having problems with AEG dishwasher-tablet not dissolving..

Hey
just wondering if anyone had this problem as well.

the tablet(finish) isn't dissolving -seems to be only rinsing - even though its on a normal cycle.

could it be related to the pump - how do i fix that?

or could it be related to a blockage in the drain?

thanks for your help:)

It's the electronic switch that releases the door in the cycle mode, mostly it's the connection that's a bit corroded it causes the door to stick and when it does release the cycle usually has finished leaving the pod in the compartment.
I was going to replace the whole unit but removed the front panel, screws from inside the door when open and could see the unit so gave it a clean and used some silicone grease on connection plug and pins, then put it back together and it cured this issue.

Open the door when in cycle and check both spray arms are rotating. you will get a bit of water out but not a lot. if arms not rotating, then this is caused usually by rubbish in the spray arm jets so clean them. also check water is being heated

Dishwasher tablet does not dissolve so crockery not clean

Hello, M Cruse -

There are several situations which can result in the dishwasher detergent table not dissolving completely.

First, make sure your dishwasher detergent tablet isn't the kind that has to be removed from a cellophane type wrapping before placing in the dishwasher. I mention this because my husband does not always purchase the same brand of dishwasher detergent tablets. Some are not the kind with plastic which dissolves in the hot water of the dishwasher.

I think the information here:
https://removeandreplace.com/2015/05/15/dishwasher-not-dissolving-detergent-or-tablet-how-to-fix/
covers all the reasons why the dishwasher detergent tablet may not dissolve completely.

We have the problem that the detergent dispenser often "traps" the tablet. We reside in a rental and the landlord has not chosen to replace the dishwasher with a newer model, so we just toss the tablet into the bottom of the dishwasher.

Note: I think purchasing a gel dishwasher detergent would be better, but The Husband likes the tablets. Sigh . . .

Best wishes.

Tablet not desolving after quick wash cycle

Find out whether your quick cycle is a wash cycle or a rinse only. If it is a wash it's obviously too short, and the tablet is not dissolving. You do not want undissolved tablets because they will contaminate your rinse water and u end up with soap on the dishes. You can switch to powder if a tablet isn't going to dissolve quick enough on your quick cycle.

Oil spotting on the wash, what can i do?

It is probably not oil. Its from a rubber gasket that is slowly dissolving inside. It has to be replaced before the machine will have a leakage. I´ve had the same problem myself. Using high-quality detergent, (usually tablets) that is less aggressive to rubber will extend the lifespan of the gasket in the future.

I have a Neff Dishwasher S5443X2 and the dishwasher tablets are not dissolving. The tablet door is open when the machine finishes but most of the tablet remains. We tried using detergent but still the same...

Either:
  1. the water does not get into the dishwasher open the dishwasher 3-4 times during cycle, you should see some water at least once, if not - check water valve, water level float and water pressure.
  2. the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. Check pump filters, check chopper and impeller.
  3. motor in main pump is not working - could be caused by something stuck on the impeller or chopper or could be a problem with the motor itself or control board. Check if line voltage is coming to the motor during wash/rinse cycle.
Good luck,

Take off lower spray arm there is a spay hole underneath if its blocked the tablet gets left in the bottom. also check the filter is not split as rercycled food deposits is the cause of the blockage. short programme is not suitable for tablets,

Neff S5433 Dishwasher - Detergent tablet not dissolving

Hi!

Please run the machine without detergent for 2-3 washes. Also try using a little hot water. Also, don't used cleaner and softener together but add softener on the last rinse.

Tablets not dissolving

Sounds like whatever soap you are using is just too much soap your dishwsher can handle. The soap "packs" are usulally an overload of soap for most dishwashers. Just a few teaspoons of regular name brand soap sometimes will cure lots of dishwsher ills!!!
